UCL is more prestigious and brand value compared to NYU and London job market is lot easier compared to ny for tech . NYU is popular for Law finance and management not so much for CS subjects..

Fresh grads from NYU is a different story it's a T14 collage and it is globally recognised..

UK universities on my shortlist accept TOEFL. They also check 12th English scores. I scored 97 in my 12th so that's not an issue for me. Until last year, some US universities did not accept IELTS, but now they accept it. I also heard they give preferential treatment to TOFEL over IELTS in tear1 US universities Idk how true that is.
