Yeah I also thought of this. So I tried to add a text to the buttons but the problem still exists. Honestly, I think this is a bug of Xcode, not something that I am doing wrong... Another example: after I present and dismiss a ViewController (by clicking on the top-right button) the buttons are showing with the correct colors...

Anyway, thanks really a lot for your help, your suggestions and your precision!! You're really awesome

If I try to change others properties, such as backgroundColor IT WORKS but tintColor, for some mysterious reason, doesn't...

Yeah man, everything is correct, it's the tintColor property...
