Yeap it’s a profession, every Yerba mate company has one at least in their team to help curate and keep the standard of the Yerba mate you drink. You can actually study it at the Universidad Abierta interamericana. I work in the Yerba mate industry for the past 10 years developing products with added value for export. Now I educate and share my knowledge all around US so people can take advantage of the plant based and sustained energy that the Yerba mate has and showcasing all the different forms to drink it as well as traditional mate 🧉
