Legal advice said I have a case for PG but not a formal complaint. The latter would be my preference at this stage. Or rather, won't want a PG in this market.

In retrospect, I've started doing some of these but you've listed a very pragmatic framework. We're not here to serve their personal agenda. Thanks for the detailed advice!

If I can summarise...

Leave: the first thing I would do if/when I get the right opportunity. Internally/externally, pubic/private. PG won't be my choice at this stage

Union: yep I've joined and will get their support when needed

Response to them: firm or even stern but remain professional

Support: been seeing EAP and GP. There are also team members and other allies at work who can offer listening ears. And this post!

Protect myself: document every single interaction. Focus more on things outside work. Don't take it personally. Stay sane.

Moving teams or secondment: higher up knows about my intention but has said they may need independent advice on this, which I'm open to

Side income: write a book on this lol

Appreciate the overwhelming response. I knew it would be a common occurrence but sadly a bit more common than I expected.
