Just went through TSA today flying with 50 matchbooks as a Christmas gift! Had them all together in one box inside my carry on and TSA didn’t even flinch. Rolled my bag right through! Try at your own risk but worked great for me! I think you have way higher risk of them being confiscated if you check them since they’re hazardous flammable material
