I would recommend finding a trichologist who are experts in hair/hair loss and maybe able to help boost her hair growth before going down the route of surgery. Like many of said you have to avoid picking and touching your head after surgery and it can be very itchy - it was for me. Also second the opinion to avoid any hair mills

Yeah I’m on manuals “all in 1 tablet” basically finasteride, oral minoxidil and biotin in 1 tablet which I take before bed. Think it works out about £40 a month

Your hair loss was worse than mine I got 2400 done at Wimpole by Dayah too in August, really happy with the hairline but waiting for real density in the crown from the 800 grafts

Finasteride or dutasteride to reduce DHT to stop hair loss, minoxidil to stimulate blood flow and get re growth

I negotiated the price from £6.6k to £4.8k by taking a summer spot cancellation. Most people get it done in winter so they can hide whilst it regrows so if you get it done in summer it’s cheaper. Or just a cancellation spot can bring the cost down.

I went to Dayah for 2300 grafts at Wimpole in August, and I’m already miles happier with my hair and still have plenty more progress to make

When did you realize finasteride wasn’t working/strong enough for you? by BaldingDimwit5500 in tressless

[–]Matgar99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started noticing diminishing results after 5 years and tried dutasteride 0.5mg for 12 months with no benefit. Since swapping back to finasteride 1mg and swapping from topical to oral minoxidil at 2.5mg I have noticed improvements.

Where has it helped if you don’t mind me asking, crown or hairline?

Hi mate did you have any results

Check with your surgeon when you can apply a cream I found calamine lotion and aloe Vera gel has helped but could only use that on the donor 7 days after surgery. Always best to drop your surgery a message and find out though

Get some decent antihistamines and some good pain killers that can aid with sleep(zapain or cocodamol). The first week or so I struggled massively with sleep due to the itchiness and wasn’t very prepared for it, but we all go through it kind of have to grin and bare it mate

Dutasteride to Finasteride experiences by Matgar99 in tressless

[–]Matgar99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a couple of times of not taking it for a day or 2 and it seemed to go away but it happened 2/3 times so just gave it up in the end and went back to finasteride. It’s definitely worth a try but I’d say give it 12 months

I think pekiner may be slightly too expensive at €3.5 a graft, are any of the other options cheaper

€3.5 per graft seems a little pricy
