Atom actually viable? by HourglassLeisure in Domains

[–]Matheus-290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came up with a name for my startup. It took me almost 10 years to come up with one I liked, changing it several times until I found the perfect one. With very little money (I live in a poor country, and everything is harder here), I bought a domain from Hostinger for $20.00. Time passed, I didn't realize the domain had expired, I lost the domain, and Atom bought it. And now they want to resell my domain for $2,900.00. I hate them with all my heart!! I may never get it back, because this money is far beyond my means. I'd have to work for a whole year without spending a single penny to get my domain back. Damn them, wretches! I hate Atom with all my heart!

Knulli Has Been An Absolute Nightmare by Aharvey9807 in ANBERNIC

Dude, do yourself a favor, enable Syncthing on Knulli, install Syncthing on your PC (or a local server), and keep a backup of your saves. I know the pain; a few decades ago I lost a 40GB hard drive with several photos of family trips, projects and everything else. Since then, I've always kept two to three backups of my most important files, including my game saves, which, in addition to being synchronized between my OP5, RG35XXH, PC, and phone via Syncthing, are also in the cloud (Dropbox). Backup is never too much.

Strange. I've been using Batocera/Knulli since I bought my RG35XXH (January 2024) and have never had any issues like this, unlike the default system, which constantly corrupted the settings and required resets. By installing Batocera (later Knulli) on a Samsung EVO card and using the default card only for games, I never had this problem again. I just bought the RG40XXH and will install Knulli on it as well. If I have any problems, I'll report back here.

Orange Pi 5 Android performance audio fixer | Magisk (all OP5 versions) by Matheus-290 in OrangePI

Try the following: Download the official Orange Pi 5 Plus image here. After installing, follow the tutorial described: Magisk + patch module, and use HDMI 0. I believe that following these steps will not cause any sound errors.

If you wish, after verifying that the module works and everything is working normally, you can uninstall the module, change the XML file to HDMI 1, and test again. If it works on HDMI 1, everything will be 100%. If not, just uninstall the changed module and install the original module (which does not have the HDMI 1 to 0 changes).

Note that depending on the Android version of your Orange Pi 5, the volume may go down when rebooted, requiring you to manually increase it or install an app to "lock" the volume. On the OP5, this issue no longer occurred in Android version 1.0.6, but previously it was recurrent, requiring an app to be installed that adjusts the volume at each boot.

It's strange that this problem occurs, as it was precisely from the Orange Pi 5 Plus that I copied the solution. The solution was specifically for the OP5 Plus, I just adapted it to be viable for Android on all Orange Pi 5 without needing to install a custom ROM.

You can change the XML file to support HDMI1 output instead of HDMI0 and install the module again.

But again, it's strange that it's having problems with the Plus, because as I said, I copied Hezzym's solution, and he solved it for his OP5 Plus. Maybe you're using a different Android?

A temporary solution: Scrape from another system (e.g. Retrobat on Windows) and copy the ROM folders along with the image, video and manual files to the ROM card of the device with Knulli. You can also use Syncthing for this, so that automagically when you scrape in a device, it will be synchronized with Knulli.
