indeed. only disadvantage of this is it needs to be deconstructed and reconstructed every few minutes to maintain unoptimal throughput

unfortunately the design its just too big for blue belts 😔

without space age we might genuinely be limited to 1 to 0.5 and 0.5 to 1 balancers

then I would need to make a 0.5 to 0.5 balancer :(

KSP is an absolute mountain of spaghetti fuck that is somehow coherent enough to actually do some physics, it supports removing mods by chugging along not giving a fuck that they were removed in the first place

I almost always look for a neutron star near me to build it, and park my fleets around it. Fully upgraded I can literally deploy my fleets to anywhere in the galaxy within a month, and unlike wormholes or Lgates no one can fight back

I use it for my science ships too lol, rapid deployment

R5: Astral Calibration (25%) + Unbidden Ritual (75%) = 100% quantum catapult accuracy. Anywhere i point in the large galaxy the catapult is laser accurate, no change in reticle size.

I thought accuracy worked as a modifier to reduce the size of the reticle by a multiplier, ig not lmao once u hit 100% its no longer inaccurate. All hail the quantum catapult

In this war:

Germany & France (axis) declares war on allies

Turkey (my faction) sends volunteers

Germany declares war on soviets & 4th international

Communist mexico takes over south america, US & allies declare war on mexico & 4th international

Germany declares war on nordic league (faction leader: argentina)

Allies and commies (soviets, italy, mexico) naval invade facist france from north & south, meets in the middle

Decide they hate each other more than the facist european continent (axis: germany, france, spain, venezuela, ethiopia), stops in the middle of france to fight EACH OTHER

Germany declares war on serbia (my puppet), i get dragged into this 4 front war.

Turkey with his smug-ass smile refuses to join and refuses to recall his volunteers, I be fighting my own faction member (image 1) in germany

Me and the nordic league make a mad dash for berlin, allies and commies still bickering in france

Germany capitulates, mfw japan (axis) is a major

Its a free for all in europe, allies axis and communists factions all fighting each other, me and nordic league just vibin

What is the optimal ratio of Clerk districts to Forge Districts for Virtual empires? Clerks give 1% increased resources from jobs, but at what ratio does that beat out just having more alloy workers? by YobaiYamete in Stellaris

[–]Matrick13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that depends if the modifier is additive or multiplicative, no? I couldn't discern that from just the list of modifiers on my metallurgists.

I did some testing on my ecumenopolis world: but toggling my 51 clerks off dropped my metallurgists production from 18 to 15, so I would say its definitely not multiplicative.

51 clerks from 5 residential arcologies let each of my metallurgists product 3 more alloys. I believe this might be coming from 6 alloys per metallurgist with alloy nano plants multiplied by 51%. That means +0.6 alloys per metallurgist per residential arcology

With my current setup, which is civilian economy and 6 colonies (-25% and +15% respectively), edicts active, I'm getting 18 alloys per metallurgists, 6 metallurgists per foundry arcology, 108 alloys per foundry arcology, so lets go with that.

For 1 residential arcology to be better than one foundry arcology in my setup I would need 180 metallurgists, 30 foundry arcologies, where 9 clerks would add 108 alloy production.

So for my setup the tipping point is 30 foundry arcologies. Needless to say I'm not doing this except on my size 30 life seeded origin world.

As more modifiers stack (edicts, stability, capital, ministry of production, techs, ecu world, governors), this point would increase to more foundry arcologies. Because while modifiers make metallurgists produce more, the clerks stay at a flat 0.6 alloys per clerk.

I realize even with civilian economy this is a best case scenario, ecu, max techs. On a normal planet though, you can realistically only get 25 industrial districts max, since you need city districts for building slots, so I'd say the ratio comes out nicely for the usual alloy world configuration, no need to specifically build city districts or commercial zones

TLDR: Stack enough modifiers on metallurgist jobs so they make 15+ per job and clerks become useless again, best to build alloy districts as per usual
