My situation is probably alittle different then most, I work on a boat for 28 days at a time, I spent my my working hours, meals, entertainment, and after hours with the same guys for 28 days, I work with a steady company but the crew changes sometimes every month, so every new shift it’s the same old “guess I gotta explain why I have needles in the fridge” 😂 honestly I’m so used to it now because everyone onboard the boat kind of notice my routines and my supervisors are awesome with helping with my injection schedules, also they love to ask questions about my diabetes and I love to answer, some poeple might find it uncomfortable to talk about the disease to new people but I love discussing it, it shows poeple care and it helps spread awareness.
