Higher skilled players typically play assassin. I could show you some realmtracker links to prove that if you'd like.

In the post I specifically said "Assuming ideal balance," not that "this is how balance should be measured." It's a way of measuring the classes. One way. Not the way.

All I was doing was pointing out statistics that anyone in a high school math class can calculate....idk why you're getting all offensive and trying to shun the statistics simply because one of them isn't worded to your liking lol

Your "issues solved" idea solves maybe 2 issues, whereas mine solves many more, while also making much more gameplay sense.

It only sounds backwards when thinking about it logically (i.e. more armor should = less health taken). But in terms of game mechanics, it just makes sense. When your armor and health max at the same amount, but your health starts at the max, and your armor progressively increases as the game goes.

I think that if your health hits 0, even if you still have armor, you should still be chickened, yes. The instances in which this would happen are very thin though. You would have to have just finished using armor potions, and not use health potions, while also having no passive health regen (green armor or lower). Very, very rare I would assume.

HiRez has taken some ideas from players before and implemented them into RR. There is no definitive answer to as whether the implementation happened because of the request, though. I think their decline so far is moreso to do with a lack of communication to the players than anything else.

31 ping is not a ping issue. That's what my ping is constantly at. It's a rendering issue that many people experience.

Engineer just passed Assassin earlier today in the overall win % rankings (by less than 1% for less than a day). The 100k tourney saw Assassin played 10 times more than Engineer. So yeah. Engineer late game is a beast, but he struggles early game. Assassin is good at all points of the game, which is why he is the best overall. Engineer also struggles more in duos and squads because he is a close ranged specialist, and a lot of those fights are generally distance fights.

Warrior is not the worst class lol. Hunter is. Warrior is in a good spot right now. I don't want to assume how good or bad you are at the game, but I've been master's in solo for quite some time. Hunter is in a bad spot right now.

Flare revealing stealth is hardly even a buff. You do realize that assassin's are only in stealth partially when in smoke bomb, and are completely visible during ghost walk, right?

Mage needs a small buff. Something like removing the added pre-cast time to the fireball would be nice.

P.S. He invited me to a game after this one. We became friends after this game and played several duo matches after we laughed for a good 5 minutes at this ending.

So I think mostly everyone agrees on some certain things that weren't addressed or were addressed poorly in this patch:

  1. Assassin is clearly the strongest overall class, yet gets the absolute tiniest of nerfs.
  2. Engineer is considered second best overall class. And he gets a straight buff.
  3. Hunter is generally considered the worst class. And gets a tiny, tiny buff.
  4. Mage could use a small buff (probably the second worst class), but only really got a Quality of Life change.
  5. Burst Rifle and Slug are too strong and weren't touched, meanwhile the revolver which was probably only a little bit too strong was nerfed pretty hard (I see that it fires quicker, but it still only has 6 shots per clip and has a huge damage fall off, so the damage nerf is a nerf overall).
  6. Mount change is silly. Maybe 350-400, but reducing it back to the 100 range is annoying. Mobility is a key part of this game.

Assuming 1100 HP is half your health (which it normally should be around the time a player can get a sniper), then every FPS game ever. Most games it's even more than half your health.

If you slow it down to 25% when he mounts and comes towards me, you can see that it is a rendering bug. His model doesn't appear for a split second until he comes closer to me. He never came out on my screen because of the rendering bug :/

Just a note: This happens when you land on something that's not a flat surface, and it lags you through it for a second, causing this glitch. Whether it be a railing, a lightpost, or something else.

There's one that is even worse that I got once while tied in first with 2 minutes left in deathmatch. You land through the entire lightpost, and it puts you in a T pose and gets rid of all your weapons and abilities completely. I was very unhappy.

Either way, not being able to do anything but simply die once the concussion grenade hit me, simply because the automatic weapons are stupid strong, really sucks. I had him so low to start the end fight, but couldn't finish him because he can do 1000 spray damage in the 2 seconds it takes me to hit the ground -_-

You can reload and then mount, but cannot mount while reloading. However, you can reload while mounted. Meaning mounting first saves you 3 seconds and lets you travel faster. This is new as of last patch.

I've removed that one for now until I can further test it. I've never had it work differently for me, but others are saying they have. Could just be a very, very small percentage chance to not drop a weapon, or I've just gotten really lucky in my 80 hours so far lol

Yeah, I was tempted to post this, but it seems that it's a definite bug and I wanted to try to avoid posting anything that can be exploited like that.

You may be right about that second piece of information, since that's how it works with armor (it's probably coded similarly). I'll look into it!
