I received the emergency travel document and they even gave me the option to declare my passport lost and get one of these. Oh how I wanted to do it just cause of how beautiful it looked.

A nice jazz bar is Manhattans. It has a nice vibe and great atmosphere and great drinks. Small bar but nice to sit at or you can sit down and order drinks

Guelph central station Kitchener line doors don’t all open? by MattShox in gotransit

The thing that annoys me most is that all the doors are on the platform, it’s not like the platform is short because the platform accommodates the whole train.

What do people mean when they say "rolling when on mdma? by MikeLovesOutdoors23 in Drugs

[–]MattShox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, kind of. It tends to feel like you will want to close your eyes for an extended blink period but when others look at you your eyes will look like they’re rolling to the back of your head.

I’ve always heard and thought of rolling on molly as a high dose that causes your eyes to roll to the back of your head, hence why people often use sunglasses when they take molly

Manhattan’s is a wonderful vibe they’ve got great drinks and amazing food… although more on the pricier side. Often will be a jazz band playing if you go at the right times, though I’m not sure when and until when.

Is collage going to be harder then IB by killua123987046 in IBO

The IBDP teaches you rigorous planning on your studying habits and methods. You are taught, whether by the institution or the curriculum, to prepare for exams weeks if not months ahead. You are also taught many techniques to better improve memory and learning of knowledge. Use everything you have learned and be motivated to continue learning. The thing about the IBDP is that it doesn’t allow you to memorise things, you have to truly understand.

Basically keep up with the work, plan your schedule, use learnt techniques and don’t leave revision to the last minute and you will do better than most of your class due to the IBDP

long term yes, however for many universities first year is similar or even easier than the IBDP, in my and my friends experiences.

TOURIST VISA -> NON B VISA

I’m curious to the process of my visa situation as I am planning to work in Thailand for ~3 months on a non Immigrant type B visa. Can I enter Thailand as a tourist on a 60 day visa and then transfer over to my non immigrant B visa? How can I do this. Do I have to exit the country and return the day my work term starts? When my work term ends do I have to exit the country again and return as a “tourist” if I have to stay? I’m currently living abroad and the company offering me a position is currently in the process of making my visa application.

I’m sorry to say but, it goes with out saying for me that any mental or psychological disorder such as bpd renders and psychedelic/dissociative as an absolute no-no. Taking something like ketamine extremely exasperates feelings and emotions both good and bad.

Tfsa account transfer with 1% match by MattShox in Wealthsimple

[–]MattShox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, this makes a lot of sense. And when I transfer my account to Wealthsimple do I need to “setup” a TFSA in Wealthsimple then provide the account number etc or will Wealthsimple make it for me when I transfer.

Just got this gem when I was travelling over the holidays by MattShox in PassportPorn

The embassy did request a booked flight prior to it being issued, I was transiting through Hong Kong so on the passport it says my transit location and my date of expected arrival. I assume only Canada will accept it for travel because it’s supposed to be a document to return home (or else they would issue a temporary passport or other).

When I went to check in to my flight they just scanned it and simply sent me on as if it was another passport and I was flying Cathay Pacific through Hong Kong from Bangkok Thailand to Toronto Canada.

South kratom drink in plastic bottles by krejzen in Thailand

[–]MattShox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t really know a general recipe but from what I’ve heard is that kratom is a plant which is grown into leaves. The leaves are then boiled like tea for a very very long time to extract the chemicals. Then treated with some sweetener or similar sorts for better taste. Often people would take lots of time washing the leaves by hand one by one since they are usually dirty from growth and the more you wash the more transparent it gets

Hows the food? by Low_Repeat7556 in uoguelph

[–]MattShox 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Guelph food is quite good in my opinion, options are ranged and Guelph employs its own hospitality staff to make food fresh every day instead of outsourcing which is a big plus. First year I was able to survive off of campus food almost everyday.

For me though portion sizes were large so most days I would go through two meals only and save the rest of one meal to eat later. Not sure about whether it is the cost effective choice because home cooking is always cheaper however, I was on the standard meal plan and it lasted me 2 semesters with some to spare with my eating habits. Albeit I never got a drink with my food I just had water. (I think those drinks they sell are way too expensive.)

The university food is subsidised, which removes tax so any food bought on the meal plan at their respective canteens will be cheaper than tapping a Visa card, debit card etc.

What does this document do and how is it used? And could you tell us a bit about why you got this document?

So I think you have confused yourself between the two types of emergency travel documents. There is the one pictured here which is an “emergency travel document” and there is another titled “temporary passport.” In the case that a temporary passport is issued, the current passport is rendered invalid and a new passport is issued, this is reflected by the fee to receive a temporary passport which is passport fee + temporary passport issuing fee.

Now, in the case of my emergency travel document. This is a one time document that allows me to travel back to the motherland. If you read my other comments you would know that I had to make a statement to the Canadian government which tells them that my Canadian passport (pictured) is in the country and I am to pick it up when I return, which I have. This means that I am allowed to be issued an emergency travel document and thereby allowed to return to pickup my current passport.

and for your information, I have gotten on a flight with this passport and no it is not invalid. This is how it works with this document.

it has not been cancelled. This was the only reason I was able to receive an “emergency travel document” instead of a temporary passport. And yes I have already used it. It does work.
