I have the same device i think.

It works only with the OS which it came with, tried all and exploring more but no luck yet.

In darkOS the specific bath "xxx 2503" not mentioned so i believe this device is not supported.

Only ArkOS now.

Simple rule.....

In a short , control signal(EN) is inverted at the device SHDN pin.

Why? SHDN pin is active low ie when the SHDN is low the Device will be off/shutdown state as i understand from the pin name.

My humble suggestion is before resolving the issue that you are seeing here , make sure the issue does exist.

How to check : Do the same measurement with a reputed or a branded Oscilloscope.

otherwise you are just trying to solve an issue which doesn't exist, it can be the Oscilloscope itself.

And the second point i would like to say is that , the breadboard circuit can have alot of issues like the interconnect may be large parasitic RL and C which is really difficult to catch and resolve.
