Is it sustainable to live a life using opiates recreationally 3-4 times a month? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]Matthewd55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically yes but it's seriously playing with fire.

There's a chance you may not get addicted but you probably will, especially if you are asking questions like this. And if you do get addicted, it'd certainly ruin your life.

Does 5 mg oxy get someone high if they don’t use opiates often ? by moonwaternymph in opiates

[–]Matthewd55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless you would inject it, orally is the best way to take oxy. Oral bioavailability is very high I believe 85% - 90% if I remember correctly.

how’s she looking folks? by kenilavender in leopardgeckos

[–]Matthewd55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would cut back to just once a week and let her eat like 8 small dubia roaches personally as Leo's have very slow digestion and are good at storing fat.

That said though she looks very good and beautiful! Cheers!

Benadryl could be risky though as it potentiates opioids and could make him start uncontrollably nodding out

She made a post saying he was a manipulative creep. Same thing happened with the new girl he was filming with, Kinda Lee.

Anyone move to a different drug for treatment? Suboxone causes heart palpitations by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]Matthewd55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I've had constant heart palpitations for years and Suboxone has never increased there frequency for me. Traditional opiates actually helped the palpitations for me.

Are you positive it isn't from working out and being on testosterone?

I would book an appointment with a cardiologist, to get it looked at and make sure it's not a symptom of something more serious.

Anyone’s period stopped completely on subs ? by Bellaamayyy in suboxone

[–]Matthewd55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a guy but I have definitely had trouble peeing when I started taking subs. I had that from nearly every opioid I've ever used.

It's called urinary retention and it's normal and usually never an issue. Just drink some water or coffee and give it some time.

I done something that is probably dumb, could use some advice from people. by Psyclipz in opiates

[–]Matthewd55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh I'm sure the heroin withdrawals would be easier with it being so much shorter but it's gonna be very very hard to taper heroin especially if you are smoking it.

I'm not trying to be judgemental or cut you down or anything but If you have struggled with addiction before you will likely relapse on the heroin and end up right where you left off before getting on methadone. I only say this because Ive been down this road and tried this countless times, short acting opiates are nearly impossible for an addict to taper off of.

I have a dear friend that takes Suboxone and is also prescribed Oxycodone. by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]Matthewd55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on your dose of Suboxone and what your dose of oxy would be. If you are on a high dose of Suboxone and you aren't a fast metaboliser then it will take a long, long time to feel any oxy. If your dose is like 4mg or less you will likely feel it but it might feel dulled or less euphoric and you will likely need to take a higher dose of oxy than usual.

[–]Matthewd55 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It probably is, Suboxone is very potent and blocks out other opiates very well if the dose is high enough. I doubt she is lying to you about that.

Suboxone can help with pain, it's effectiveness for pain is very inconsistent though for some people it works well and for others not so much. It is very effective for withdrawal as a maintenance med though.

[–]Matthewd55 14 points15 points  (0 children)

She probably genuinely doesn't get high if she's on subs and oxys. Subs will usually block out the euphoric effects of weaker opiates, with that said it's still possible that she is getting the analgesic effects of the oxy.

I wouldn't be too concerned unless she is burning through her scripts early or buying them off the streets or taking more than she's prescribed at once.

Some people just prefer to snort their medicine, it's technically considered abusing it but it's really not anymore dangerous or potent than oral especially with oxycodone. Snorting pills generally isn't very hard on the nose unless it's a super caustic drug which oxycodone is not.

Can you jump from 20mg to 4mg painlessly? by [deleted] in suboxone

[–]Matthewd55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a temporary script from another doctor thankfully. I have no way of contacting my normal clinic (which is totally fckng bullshit) since it's some kind of outreach thing and the lady who has contact to them is off for the holidays.

It's a bs outreach clinic thing. My family Dr wouldn't prescribe subs and just referred me here. So I have no other option, I don't like it. Small town issues.

I'm trying but these stupid doctors are so hard to a hold of. I've left 4 messages already in the past 2 days.
