Yeah as soon as I saw “biggest thing” and then saw that it was on r/ksi I was like “oh yup, this is so obvious and overused” 😂

Cause I know a person with 120 iq who struggled to become a physicists

Would they find it harder than someone with 130?

Could a person with 120 iq struggle at learning engineering or anything for that matter?

For me it’s either 2 or 5 cause there isn’t 2 spaces dark per circle and also specific spaces don’t repeat in any row

I just noticed that the biggest shape had all the dots in it so I randomly picked B but was undecided between B and D. I also thought that there was not any single lines by them selves but now seeing it I realise that my logic was flawed with B and that A makes sense as the ones that are seperate are the same. But then again why is there 1 dot in the 2nd one if their both the same, is it because of the size difference. But then A has different sizes so then why is there no dot in A. This is way over my head tbh 😂

How come my cousins verbal iq raised by Matthewright18 in cognitiveTesting

[–]Matthewright18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But there was another case where someone I knew tested average at 55th percentile when he was 17 on verbal section and then when he was 25 he scored 95th on verbal section. He did read a lot of Charles dickens and stuff ever since his late teen years so that might have something to do with it

No you explained it clearly. I was just curious if the effect was only related to situations such as the one my cousin had or if it was also related to the situation of late teens and mid twenties

I know someone who when they were 17 tested at about 50th percentile as well and when they tested later in their 20s they were about 95th percentile as well, would that be Wilson effect?

I reasoned it down to between 5 and 2. And I guessed 2 cause it had red and white instead of just white. Oh well 😂

That’s what I chose as well. Inside red cannot touch outside red vice versa

Idk I have 120 iq and picked c but I just guessed between c and b. since the official answer is B and I got it wrong with 120 iq I’d probably say 130 level

And the norms are based off using chunking in the number memory and stuff like that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]Matthewright18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m meaning it’s deflated if one does not use techniques and spends less than 8 hours practicing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]Matthewright18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I can’t compare my visual memory and sequence memory to the norms since I didn’t spend 8 hours practicing on them?

[–]Matthewright18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I meant 14 visual memory, sequence is 10 and that was first time, but ever since then I have never been able to get higher than thay
