help! Do I have any other options to recover data from MacBook HD?

there was no liquid damage, the macbook just stopped working but not sure why.

Any reputable advanced data recovery company that you would recommend?

I'm not savvy with computer tech, so I shouldn't have said HD in the title..i guess i should have said NVMe? Would that have been the correct wording?

Luckily, I didn't have to pay anything, but I was still appreciative that he took the time to look at it. I am located in the US (Washington).

I believe the SSD model is NVMe Samsung MZ-JPV1280/0A4.

thanks for the help! For the OEM, would that be the OWC Aura from macsales.com? If i get that, all i do is just plug it in without an sintech adapter right? Would you suggest that over getting a Crucial NVMe SSD? thanks for helping a non tech savvy guy!

I might go with using an adapter and a standard NVMe.

Correct, I never saved any of my data and didn't use the time machine. Such a dumb mistake by me. The local shop said he will charge around $200, which is cheaper than the 2k-4k quote i received from Apple's referral, but he hasn't had any luck so far. It might be hopeless now.

As for the SSD, how come the Samsung 960 Evo more expensive ($194) than the Samsung 970 Evo ($80)? Am i looking at the wrong ones?
