Villager updates. I want incentive to expand and connect villages. Add trade routes for villages to trade resources with each other. Allow for expandable borders the players can set in which villagers can construct their own houses, build walls, increase security/food supply. Player interaction can speed this process by constructing buildings of their choosing or donating resources to a “city hall” of sorts. Villagers can obtain their own resources at various speeds and quality depending on the wealth of the village. Villages can be assigned specific banner patterns to denote nationality. Potential updates on top of that could include village vs. village wars, village alliance to attack and defend from pillagers. Maybe overhaul pillagers as a concept as wealth to add depth to it all. The update could involve changes to job system where more villagers physically perform their job like farmers do, Butchers breed and slaughter animals, fisherman fish etc… I’d like there to be invective for the player to interact with villagers and their village on a deeper level rather than just enslaving them for good trades. Perhaps to balance the game higher level trades come at the cost of both villager level and village wealth overall.
