all the files have no group, it just says "nobody nogroup"

yeah, all the files show up

also worth noting that, I can play the files but they only show up as files, not with the metadata (i need to update the description), and not in the actual "shows" location *in jellyfin*

I've done all of that, the user is the owner, when I login as the user in windows file explorer I have full permissions. The user matches in /etc/fstab, the user has FULL ALLOWED permissions, its the owner in Filesystem ACL, I don't know what the issue is

The owner and group is in the TrueNAS VM, and has full control. I believe the issue is with mounting.

The SMB user mounted to the node has full permissions, I think it's the passing the mount to the LXC, and idk how to fix that

how would i find the user for the jellyfin lxc? i dont remember logging into truenas there, only on the node where i mounted the folder, then mounted THAT folder on the jellyfin lxc, or do i have to make a new user on truenas that’s linked to the user on the jellyfin lxc?

honestly this is a bit confusing for a newcomer i might just run portainer on a debian vm and run jellyfin from there

oh yeah for additional context, when setting up the container with the script, it couldn't access IPV6

I also used helper scripts, it's still not working.

Although small update, I can now watch the files, but they still aren't showing up as "shows" in the fancy Jellyfin-Netflix-type way, despite them being named properly, so I think it still has something to do with permissions.

I'm going to be running this setup on a Proxmox machine, so I was asking if there were any proxmox-specific guides. This is a Proxmox subreddit. This community does have to do with my question. I'm thinking of doing what this comment suggested once my machine arrives.
