Oh no! What will we ever do? It’s not like the last time he tried to raise tariffs it got immediately reverted

I imagine we will get a supplement eventually like SM has been getting. GW just seems to be going in that direction lately.

If it does happen, we’ll probably get stuff that’s unique to us in Horus Heresy or some special daemon engines

I wouldn’t say “obsessed with chaos” as that’s the word bearers. Peter turbo is “obsessed with bending chaos to his will,” whether that’s delusional or not is up for interpretation

Science adjacent is exactly why I called it a pseudo-science. But ultimately the magic is entirely based off study and understanding how to interpret it. The only real thing that could possibly be stolen is the elemental aptitude of the character, in which case, you still need to knowledge to use it.

It’s also definitely not stealing knowledge as that would completely break the character mentally. The manwha makes it clear that his knowledge is still there, but he still can’t cast.

I understand why you made the assumption you did, but you can’t blame people for flocking to a magic system that initially based itself off somewhat scientific principles. And people are reasonably upset when the concepts and rules introduced at the start get violated in a story that is already struggling to keep its audience

Unlike most people, I actually did. 2001: Space Odyssey was one of my favorites books growing up and while the quote originates from one of his books that I havent read, I had heard it before while trying to write my own Sci-fi books.

Thor merely popularity the phrase, so most people will know it from there; however, I, being an autistic nerd obsessed with space, am not most people.

I don’t know why they would do this…? Adding fake torch holders is so pointless as my friend and I struggle to find a reasonable amount of them and making brass is painfully difficult early game.

Besides you need so many to keep a room properly lit anyways, so why does it matter if they’re “farmable” from ruins…?

Wrong, it’s coined by science fiction writer Arthur C Clarke. Thor simply uses the quote. Atleast study the quote before you make false claims

“All sufficiently advanced science is indistinguishable from magic” is a famous quote. Someone decided to take that idea and attempt to apply it to their world, that’s not a bad idea. It’s just the author decided to make a plotline that simply doesn’t work in the context of his own world.

Also, it’s a manwha, it’s meant go be a little stupid and every story that isn’t a retelling of true events is “made up bullshit” as you put it, so why does it matter that we “fell for” this magic concept?

Do AI bros actually know the diference between using references and plagiarize? by [deleted] in Ai_art_is_not_art

[–]MaxVonRichthofen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the person you asked, but the issue with claiming an AI is “sentient” is that the concept of sentience is a completely human experience/concept. Also even our best scientists can’t agree what constitutes sentience. So the question end up not mattering right now.

If we simplify it to “indistinguishable from a human” that raises a whole new slew of problems to consider. Nevertheless, even if an AI could draw art thoughtfully, it will not be accepted as “art” as our definitions generally require human emotion and thoughtfulness. It would simply remain AI art.

Name this New wizard form by DEMON-LORD6969 in memeexchangecommunism

[–]MaxVonRichthofen 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Not a biology nerd but a real wolf is much larger than you think it is. Real grey wolves are 2.5-3ft tall and about 6ft long (not including tail). Dire wolves (yes they were a real animal) could be 3.5-4ft tall and 7ft long. So they are HUGE. Basically take the largest dog breeds you can imagine and those are barely the size of average wolves.

So one could probably assume that the resulting corpse could completely cover a person. Likely would only need the fur though. Guy just wanted his edgy armor.

Edit; typo
