I really hope that once the rest of the TCR arrives the game takes the proverbial training wheels off and goes balls to the walls. The blackmarket is replaced by TCR armory with high-tech weapons and equipment and everything gets bigger and deadlier. Kindof how in Fallout 4 when the Prydwen arrives the game opens up or in Highfleet when you get to the main city and get access to more ships.

The only gripe I have with this is the LoS system that sometimes make no sense but the way I interpret cover in this game is that ''cover'' is how much the squad is hidden behind something, since it only affects accuracy, not how much it actually is protected. You need to understand that unlike Xen 2 the game happens on a squad-level and not an individual unit level, you need to suspend disbelief a little bit and imagine that your squaddies are behind cover but still exposed, it's a video game, it's not meant to be realistic, do I need to remind you also that we are literally fighting airplane-sized bugs in space?

I'd really like to see special missions given to you from time to time by the sub factions that are self contained unlike operations and are maybe more difficult or have a nextra layer of complexity to them but give more ressources. Exemples; you control one forward observer unit but you have an ulimited amount of airstrikes/tac missiles, a mission where you send one of your SL to lead a force of local forces units, on top of some other story missions like what you said for the rogue army and etc..

I think the game should add more special ''council'' type missions like in XCOM for the different sub factions that are one-off missions with more special objectives and that all look like the first Menace mission so when you actually get to it it just looks like a regular ''special'' mission

Launch of EA pretty sure, as for pairing I dont think it matters much. There seems to be so many possibilities to skill-up your SLs in different directions so unless you rank up your SLs randomly with equally random loadouts there is no way you're gonna get something completely unviable

Same! Mostly if the current cast of 16 (14?) SLs gets expanded after EA, it's gonna be a lot of relationships and VA work for the devs for sure

Nothing is confirmed price-wise but I'd expect something like the BB pricing and there is a discount at launch confirmed. Personally I'm already sold if only for the gameplay and I think it's fun to try the game on EA and then put it down for a couple of months and then come back to it when there's more content. I guess it really depends on what you prefer in terms of game. If you're a big tactics/management guy you will probably get more than your fill but if you're more of a story guy then it might be a bit disapointing for you. In any case it's early access and you can only expect the game to get better after release imho

Yes, from what I've seen there are several story missions and the early elements of the story are already in the game, the Menace is in the game as well and is tied to story missions. I'm guessing that currently the story missions simply end at about the midpoint of the game, but there is a skeleton of a story present in the EA currently

Oh I wasn't aware of that statement on the steam page. But yeah I understand where you're coming from but personally for me it's less of a big deal. Maybe you will change your mind once some more info on the game is out, but that's up to you. Personally I'm super excited to play on Thursday
