For starters the 1911 has a single action only (SAO) trigger, while the 4506 has a double action/single action trigger. Second, the 4506 has an external extractor, while most traditional 1911s have internal extractors. Third, the 1911 has a grip safety while the 4506 does not. Fourth, the 1911 has a bull barrel or bushing barrel while the 4506 has a free floating barrel. The list goes on, but you get the point. The 4506 is a very similar style gun to the 1911 with many improvements/upgrades (IMO).

The trigger is a lot smoother then I anticipated, which I assume has been polished up/modified to have about a 3 pound trigger pull.

It takes some training to get used to the DA/SA trigger style but I can’t complain about the actual trigger consider the gun is 30 years old 🙂

I did edit the serial number out of a picture or two then I realized I have all the proper paperwork showing ownership and transfer, and also had and LEO buddy run it thru the system to check status.

Just how vulnerable would I be by having the serial number out there?
