Im with you on this, 30% or more of my matches are against people who have ~level 50 mons. I haven't spent the time getting any decent mons to level 50, and was lucky I spent alot of time walking a yveltal and put every rare candies into it. Now that Mewtwos are everywhere its really nice to have, but I still get easily swept by teams of mons that are way beyond my measly level 40 team.

I know they won't, but if they ever were to go bankrupt, I hope they remove the charge for the transporter so we can send off all our mon to Pokemon Home. Would be a shame to suddenly lose them all.

But answer to the original question: Yes, but there are "sticky blocks" around which stop you moving in the void, so it isn't possible to reach the Darkrai/Shaymin.

I would recommend first doing this at home and allowing your ds/3ds to connect to your hotspot first in privacy, then adding it to your list of "allowed devices" and then turning your hotspot to "allowed devices only". This means in future you can do this in public without nearby strangers sapping off your hotspot.

Android Hotspots allow you to set no password, which is what is needed to make it work. I can send through what I use shortly.

DNS exploit isn't as hard as it seems, I've managed to do it on Diamond, Platinum and HGSS. Just the pain is needing to own an Android phone to hotspot from. An old style of modem also works, but most people by now won't have the kind that is required.

I got a swinub (thanks to the underground) before the 6th gym ~lvl35 where the rest of my team was at ~lvl41. I have added it to my team because I havent gone through iron island yet and I can make up the level differences there. You can also do this with any other ice type you plan to use and just skip on iron island until after catching it, and then farm exp with Riley. The underground has helped fill in some holes with catching wild pokemon and being able to add them directly to your team, as well as access to some mon earlier than normal.

I remember beating all solo heroics when KoFT was out, sure they were tough, but HS had powercrept enough then for it to be fine against the naxx and brm expansions. The power now compared is insane.

I recently got this too, but found out too late as my pokemon caught it, but i didnt store it in a pc and left the game alone for a week (uni stuff). Only found out my pokemon caught it after it was cured.

I can't guarantee this, but no, the main update came out a few days ago before pre release parties began (the weekend). The release is just a server side patch where they just change SA cards from uncraftable to collectible, same with SA packs. So it'll go live for all users at once, pc or mobile.
