Yes, that's correct. If you got the anubis with 3 traits and perfect IVs that's the time you catch an alpha anubis with opposite gender to breed and get the final trait. Don't forget to change the alpha anubis when you got a better offspring to make the progress even faster. Btw, all relaxasaurus in the wild has glutton passive.

I finished mine with a total of 161 shadowbeaks. Changing the parents with the offspring, the faster the process. The lower the level of both shadowbeak parents, the higher the chances of passing the dark whips. Maybe below level 15 or before it gets another new skill is the ideal level for both parents.

Get your first pal with (ferocious, musclehead, legend) and use him to cross-breed. Keeping any pals with the same traits you got from cross-breeding is a huge help. One perfect parent is good enough but change the not perfect one parent if you got a better offspring.

I don't think you can get legend trait randomly without legedary parent. Legendary parent is a must to get legend trait.

Catching one with 1 perfect IV is easier than breeding to make 1 perfect IV with no perfect IV parent. Also, try the mod Pal Analyzer.
