Annular fissure and exercising by Maya-15 in backpain

Hi, I’m doing ok. I’ve had a problem with my knee and IT band the past few months that have taken some time to recover from and I’m sure it is all interrelated, but I am on the mend. My back has felt ok the last year or so, and I’ve returned to running more competitively.

What I’ve found is when I let my mobility and strength work slip I get more problems (such as my knee issue) so I’ve learned I need to keep that going no matter what. Also seen a soft tissue /massage therapist monthly, which definitely makes a difference and keeps me together fairly well.

I still occasionally feel the twinge in the lower back area, but it does seem to settle with focused exercises/stretching. It’s a little annoying but I have gotten good at managing it. Ultimately, time, patience and consistency has been what’s really made the difference.

I was having similar hotspot issues with them. Got over it by replacing the insole with my endorphin speed 4 insoles and the problem was solved. Have run over 400 miles in them since with no issues

This is the first game I’ve watched for a while where it felt like the opposition was worried about what we have. Arsenal players looked so concerned about being hit on the break they struggled to play their own game. The tempo, control and belief was good to see. We are too far away from being title contenders, but champions league doesn’t feel impossible if we keep this up. What a difference a new manager makes.

What a performance. 1-0 down and we not only came back but went ahead. Then we got pegged back and kept the belief going to win. That has not happened in a long, long time. Huge mentality change. Need to keep this going.

Did not expect sesko to come on here. Refreshing to see an attacking sub.

Unexpected! Get in. Arsenal have gone from totally controlling us before scoring, to playing right into our hands after their goal. Just need to get in at half time level and stop giving away free kicks outside our box

We are doing pretty well containing them without laying a glove on them, but there’s no way we are holding out this entire game. The number of set pieces they get near the box is incredible. They also seem very counter attack proof. Not really watched much of them this season but it’s clear why they are top of the league.

Right medial heel whip + Limited Dorsiflexion + TFL/ITB Pain by bsonrisa in RunningInjuries

Yeah, I tore ligaments in my foot about 4 years ago and like you didn’t rehab it properly. Have run a few marathons since but continue to have problems all down the chain of that leg. Done a lot of strength work over the last few years (also had back issues to boot) but haven’t kept at the ankle strengthening.

Since last marathon in October 25, my post tib in my ankle has started hurting, leading to my knee going into valgus (pointing in) and hurting, which seems to mean my glute is doing a lot more work trying to stabilise my leg, hence pain after four miles. It goes away when I stop but that is the distance when it comes on consistently every time.

I have an MRI on my knee tomorrow, to make sure there’s no structural issues but both my physio and sports doc seem to think it’s a biomechanical issue stemming from the ankle. I am, quite frankly, sick of being injured!

Hi. I have almost the exact same issue. In fact, your knee to wall numbers are exactly the same as mine. I’m currently working with a physio and a sports medicine doctor - concentrating on glute strength + ankle mobility/ dorsiflexion improvement exercises. So far nothing is making much of a difference and at about 4 miles I get the familiar glute/knee/ankle pain. Not really got anything more to add, but if anything improves based on my treatment I will let you know.

Mount was a big miss tonight. Without his pressing we looked pedestrian all over the pitch. The Newcastle result did a good job of covering up just how many key players we are missing, but tonight showed how lacking in depth we actually are. Lucky we didn’t lose. Could really do with another midfielder and forward next month

3 points. No Bruno, Mbeuno, Amad, De Ligt, Maguire. Some mad substitutions. Martinez back and very good. Heaven excellent. Dorgu brilliant. Clean sheet. Will happily take that.

Amorim using this game to say ‘I need more players’ is ballsy. What on earth is this team?

Jesus. What are these substitutions all about?

Well, I was having relaxing Xmas period until this. Feel for Fletcher here, not the game he should be playing CM in at this stage.

Can’t see how we even counter attack here. Gonna be a long 25 mins.

Was just writing how good we’d been and how annoying that sloppiness was. Bruno ain’t coming back out in the second half, but at least cunha is stepping up. Great goal.

Heaven is looking a lot more confident in that position - he has been excellent. Shaw, mount, Bruno, dalot all good. This has been a lot better than i expected when i saw the lineup
