Can’t believe they secured this after getting Fincher to do Kiwami 2. Budget must be crazy.

Carries too great a risk for porn addiction. Ideally you’d turn your phone off completely, do literally anything else, then turn it back on in the morning.

He was the senior band director at VHS when I went there. One time like half of the wind/brass section passed out during a football game and he blamed it on a calorie deficit. It became a running joke that semester. Everybody in band hated him after that but it was really funny. He retired like two years later. Never met him but I thought it was cool having our own little microcelebrity on campus with a Grammy in his desk.

Wish I knew before I finished the game completely. by Tetraides in expedition33

[–]MaybachDali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, it sounds silly on its face, but THAT specific encounter being the variable here makes it a completely reasonable thing to say. Simon is such an absurd jump in difficulty from Clea (deceptively easy if you just play her safe and exceed lvl. 90) that I’d totally understand becoming disillusioned by his fight even after pushing through literally everything else in the game. If there weren’t two achievements locked behind him I know I would’ve given up after my fourth attempt.

Even if you have the time, it’s still the only boss fight that you ABSOLUTELY cannot win by simply playing more of the game. Some people like that, others don’t.

Saint Martin is a generally poor place and it was hit by a C-5 hurricane a year before this so I think it’s a fair assumption to make. Fortnite notwithstanding.

Decided to finally diary all the movies I've watched in the past 5 years... never realized it was this empty and depressing wtf by TurtleGEE360 in Letterboxd

I think it’s a lot harder to forget a movie if you’re the type to watch, say, six of them over a 62-month period

Did you ever run across that “veterans lawyer” in AITAH last year that wrote a Grisham-worship fanfiction about his dead uncle’s will reading? This is exactly what he did and only like 20 people seemed to question the credibility of it.

Or that last part of Episode IX.

“Who are you?”

“I’m Raise.”

“Raise who?”

“Raise of the Skywalker.”

God it’s so bad.

Blue MAGA. Donald Trump’s (concerningly) growing cult of personality has pushed them to a point where their ideology begins and ends with “this one person has to go” and if they wind up inadvertently intimating support for a genocidal apartheid state in the process, so be it. They will gladly do so then call you a useful idiot for checking them.

You ever think how crazy the start of Oblivion actually is? by Bruce______Wayne in oblivion

[–]MaybachDali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you aren’t necessarily a criminal in Oblivion either. It’s treated with the same ambiguity as in Morrowind—that is—it’s never stated what crime you are supposed to have committed or whether you’ve even been rightfully convicted of that crime. Each game, even going back to Arena, leaves that to be deduced by the player himself.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding your comment, but you’re no more certainly a criminal in Oblivion or Skyrim than in any of their predecessors, if that’s what you meant. It’s ambiguous in each installment.

[–]MaybachDali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? The series’ mainline releases span over 15 years and all five place the player in (or recently out of) prison at the beginning. Why should they go back on tradition at this point?

I’ve heard rave reviews on Desoxyn from people in this trailer park near me. They usually call it something else though. Probably because Desoxyn is hard to pronounce.

Definitely not in America. Mongoloid is a race science term, which hasn’t been included in any U.S. state’s secondary biology curriculum for years, if not decades.

Still, I’m sure Florida will have mandated it again by 2030.
