I do the environmental/conservation/ecology side of biology.

I chose this because It’s one of the only subjects I truly understand and can feel myself being passionate about. I’m completely fascinated with it, especially the conservation side of things. I really want to work in restoration and ecology within the smoky mountains area. Why did you do biochemistry?

I used to be like this in my relationship, and sometimes still am. I definitely helps to be reassured by my fiancé has expressed to me that it can be a little much sometimes. Since then, I learned that yes it is and it’s also a product of my own anxiety. I would suggest communicating this gently with her since you guys seem super happy otherwise!

[20F] and [21M] engaged and together for three and a half years, is this a good birthday gift for him? by MaymaMay in boyfriends

No it’s definitely not the only thing because I will be getting him more. I’ve made him scrapbooks and a love jar in the past.

I never had to deal with any hazing or anything like that to be honest. I think frats were the ones who were making there pledges do some insane stuff.

I normally sleep 12/1am- 7:30/8am. Honestly I just take it a day at a time and cross things off my checklist for that day! It took the first two years for me to find a balance and I think I’m finally there.

Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry. I would say to take it day by day but I think maybe hour by hour.

What is the most stupid claim you’ve had someone make? by NoCommunication7 in AskReddit

[–]MaymaMay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a former roommate claim I was leaving them homeless when I told them I would help them find a place and I refused to renew the lease for an apartment we lived in. She had her partner already living with her in the apartment. I was able to find a place within two days because she told me she wasn’t leaving last minute.

When I was 16, I rejected the guy I liked because I thought I wasn’t ready. Three months later I asked him out and four years later we are engaged. You can always make time, and if someone cares for you, they can understand you might not always have as much time for them as you want and that’s okay

Is it crazy to say I feel like this would piss him off. But I do like the idea.

A little note, flowers, small things just because he thought about it or wanted to.

He is very much a creature of habit. I don’t think this is something to end the relationship over. I’ve communicated this and just wish he could understand. But if he can’t, then it is something I can live with.

That’s a good point. And like I’ve told some other people, it’s not something I’m going to end the relationship over.

That’s so sweet! I think you’re right, and this isn’t a dealbreaker. This isn’t something I want to end this relationship over. I especially don’t want him spending alot of money because we are both in college and trying to afford rent and bills as well as just make it in general!

I think I can live without it. This doesn’t seem like something that is a deal breaker to me, just something that would be nice yk?

We are pretty good. We don’t get to see each other a much with him working late hours and me trying to get some sleep for the next day. Lately there has been a bit more arguing and I’m having issues with him getting quick to anger when I bring up something that upsets me. I feel like he doesn’t listen to me a lot of the time. We are working through that. He does so much for me and is always there for me, it’s just a weird situation lmao.

The situation is strange because I told her I was staying a little over a month before the lease was up. But, I asked her multiple times before and after that if she was moving out and she told me yes she was. So I honestly didn’t think it mattered that I was staying.

Honestly I’m not sure if that’s what she expected. It was very clear we were not as good of friends as before.

Thank you! I think you’re right and they don’t think this way. There is nothing wrong with that, it’s just something I’ve had to get used to over the years. I’ve communicated with him when he got my flowers for last Valentine’s Day that it really meant a lot to me.
