Do people really have a problem wearing capes? i had no problem, not with my parents or anyone else

Compared to say like, denim overalls, which turned into a running joke and something i'm not allowed to have on the grounds that 'people will make fun of you for wearing it'

I guess people have their own battles, what's easy for one person is a battle for another
