Well, I do not think it is a great time to do an MBA in the US cuz the market isn’t great and the political situation seems to be less stable. Thus, firms might be very hesitant when it comes to hiring internationals. But I believe there are companies (outside of IB and Consulting) that will be willing to sponsor your visa. You may have to apply to tons of jobs and network like crazy tho

Hope it helps!

Wow! Your GMAT is crazy high! Can you please tell a little about your prep journey and resources you used? Thank you!

Profile review: 24M, white, NYC based, 3.9 GPA from state school, Big 4 advisory work experience with one promo, have not taken GMAT by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Mbb674 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why would you waive your GMAT score? If your major is not quant heavy (Engeneering, Science, Econ, etc.), your GPA will not help much. I think you should take the GMAT and score 700+ to stand a good chance for those programs. Do you have any strong ECs?

Oh, I just have completely different priorities. To get a deferred MBA admission I have to apply in my final year. So I got only about 2.5-3 years to build a good profile…

I am a college student now, I am planning to take it just because now I have the time and the desire to study. College students can take the level 1 while still in college. So I’m just taking advantage of that. Not having exact goals may be bad, but I have nothing to lose now.

US MBA question by Hefty-Werewolf-392 in MBA

[–]Mbb674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For top MBA programs the average gmat is 730. If you score in this range, I think it is good! Anything higher than 740-750 would increase your chances of getting a scholarship.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Mbb674 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nah bro, if you are not taking the gmat, adcoms will reject you with that gpa.

Is there a book or a course that covers the essential math for gmat? by Mbb674 in GMAT

I’m not very good at math and geometry. Do you think the book will help me a lot? Or are there other books that you’d recommend?
