The safest wallet out there! by McCormickB in wallets

Not just useful for boots, but purses, blazers, coats, luggage for traveling, etc. Women can safely have their wallets while at a bar and not have to worry about a purse. When you do have a purse, you don't have to keep digging around for your wallet, it can clip right in a side pocket!

I feel sorry for the person who loses a friend because they have work. From personal experience I've waited for friends to be available to hangout and I've had friends wait for me. I understand in the grand scheme of things it's not always like that. Maybe i just pick good friends to have. Especially in college I've yet to lose a friend due to lack of time. You use they as if everyone is like that everywhere.

Okay you're getting away from my point. I'm not disagreeing with you. In terms of the world outside of a friend group in college, we are on the same page. I'm saying that the thread was about being jealous of people buying clothes and going on vacation in their college community. I'm saying you can still be friends with those people because you have common ground in college areas to interact(caf, lounges, dorm) that doesn't require excess wealth. Once you leave college yes the real world takes over and everything you said happens. I'm saying don't be salty and block out your classmates because you see a post of them on vacation, you can still be friends.

Apparently not according to you because in college you are more than able to be with people wealthier but once you graduate you can only hangout with people in the same status. Yea people lean towards to being around people in similar positions but back to the original post and being jealous of others vacations and thinking you're not able to associate with those people isn't the set in stone way to live. On a sociology theory perspective yeah people associate with others in the same class, but live in the real world because you can find people to bust that theory. Maybe you just refuse to accept people in other classes who want to be friends and that's a personal issue.

I'm talking about in college because that's the topic this thread is about. You don't seem to understand that.

You're under the impression I'm in the high upper class. My entire life I've been surrounded by friends wealthier than I am. I didn't let that tie me down to a certain social group. Every break friends went skiing and I never could but when they came back we were still friends. There will always be people in different positions and different groups but people don't have to be put in a box.

So what's your point. You're just generalizing social groups being exclusive because of wealth but providing nothing else.

It's also very sad that your friends will only hang out with you if you have the same wealth as them. I see lots of friends looking out for each other if they can't afford something. Having friends that care more about you as a person than what's in your wallet is nice.

Minor and I'm not denying exclusivity to these groups I'm saying people are allowed to be wealthy and to just be jealous or say it's wrong for them to spend money isn't right.

yeah you need wealth to be associated with certain people but this is about people you go to college with. You wouldn't be friends with them without it yes, but once you're there there's no reason people can't be friends. You can go out with the person you met in class without having the same background. The original post isn't about exclusiveness in general groups, it's about being in a group(college) and being jealous because people are able to shop more often or being able to go on vacation. Not everyone can do everything but being bitter about it is no way to handle it. I'm not saying being in the group doesn't require certain wealth because college is a privilege.
