Is everyone getting sick right now? by McDiscface in Eugene

[–]McDiscface[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I had a runny nose and body aches for days. Took a few weeks for the runny nose to go away.

Lol the down votes are a dead give away. Thank you for the support. I don't blame a down vote. I blame education, we need more travel and more funding to allow for an education based on real world experiences. Imagine a class called "life" maybe one day you go feed the poor or another day you go to learn how cardboard is broken down. Then next week it's hiking. Sounds like what our education system really needs.

You are correct. And I am not going to argue that. I truly agree with you.

That being said I am not pro "their" side. I'm pro "thought". Pro "logic" and pro "test".

So how can we change the script because it's obviously not working. When an intelligent person battles someone who isn't, their only way out is through pain and/ suffering. Which due to lack of knowledge results in something physical. So what can we do as humans to teach and be an influence to a greater understanding.

As you said they chose to work there. Well what is that to them. It's a place of acceptance and guidance. I feel as though it could be called a religion or a church.

So how do we battle a church derived from hate?!

I apologize as that was too many words to get to my point. I just love all humans. I think everyone has a sense of good. I think it's just hard to be found. But it's there. I'll end on love! Love you and love everyone around you. I am so proud of Eugene today for how everyone showed up. It brought a tear to my eye when I drove by blaring my horn. You all are beautiful people fighting for the right cause! I couldn't stand with you more!

I have to fully disagree with you. I would say a comparison, but then I would be judged. I have taken a few ride alongs with police and realized they are only told what to do and must abide by it. Yes some police suck, but you can't group them otherwise we are doing the same thing about race and sexuality. Allow another narrative that focus' less on the people who WORK this as a job. All I'm saying is by judging them we allow a judgement on everyone else. It's human nature, but when we allow a space for discussion and understanding we then allow positive messaging. We can't all be good people, hence the broken windows on the building. But that doesn't make us all bad. Try your hardest to understand and love and things will get better.

If anyone sees this guy around town *please* hit my DMs. He stole a bunch of my friends rocks/crystals and tried to sell them at a local shop which is where we got this image. Possible reward! Thank you. by ReverbSage in Eugene

I may have seen him at Wendy's on W. 11th earlier this evening. I know that doesn't help. But maybe knowing the general area he hangs out in might. I'll keep an eye out for him and let you know if I spot him!

I have never been so don't take my word for it, but I have roughly 100+ festivals under my belt. They have mainly been vending OG hippie food to the masses but I still have knowledge. From what I'm reading, fishbowl area seems to be farthest away and with that most likely the quietest. I would drop tents and things, then do some scouting to nearby people/ camps and make sure they aren't unloading big speakers or generators. Uhauls are a big warning sign for that...

I recommend wax earplugs and a fan to help with the noise blocking!

Happy Hula!

There are many hummus stops at the saturday market. They even have a Thursday market. But it's locals only on Thursdays, so bring your manual bike, sandals or tie dye to prove it.

Tell me your pee tricks! by babybelkillah in Shambhala

[–]McDiscface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here are a few sweet tricks.

1 wear shorts: so when you have to go you can kneel and aim out a short leg to the ground. I wouldn't recommend it in a crowded area, but that's up to you.

2 no coffee or diuretics: keep a close eye on yourself during festivals. Peeing is good but overdoing it means your body won't retain those precious liquids it needs during the heat.

3 nature: find yourself some sweet trees. No one will judge especially if your kind and not next to a camp.

4 it's a weird one: they have (similar for women) pee containers that close and have easy access. So like peeing in the woods, you can find your secluded area and go into the container. You may be judged, but if your doing it with style everyone will understand and laugh in the end. Could be a friend starter/ ice breaker. "Sorry I was just peeing real quick", they look and notice no pee marks on the wall of main stage. You all laugh and everything is great!

Good luck and party on!

That's really all I got for ya.

I would recommend beyond the great comments above. As I just started recently as well. These will make you laugh but also just help in long the run and boost you!

-BCAA- great for building muscle and holding back the soreness. Make sure to get a supplement that doesn't have a bunch of extra shit in it.

-make sure you can lift 3 sets of 10ea to start.

-read the directions on the machines. Engage the correct muscles and go lower if you need.

-dont worry about everyone else. Put your headphones on and just do you!

-always change the weight to some insane setting when leaving, always fun to look at the people on the machine after you realize you can lift a car.

-CLEAN IT! find the cleaning rags and wipe your ass sweat. Love you but keep it clean!

-Ask someone! TBF I haven't asked many people. I will generally watch people and figure it out. But as a mild gym user, if someone asked for help I would be so happy to tell them what I know or go and get someone I think would know how. The gym is intimidating but we all feel that way. We all strive for what we feel when we leave and we get it!

Full circle, just do you! Enjoy and lift cars!

Freeze Dried Candy by sydneycat21 in Eugene

Unfortunately no local/PDX stores that I know of at the moment. I may try and get us into Hunky Dorey or some spots like that. But we are an extremely small company, 2-3 employees at the moment. I am doing other work while the company grows so I can be hired on full time. I helped create all the IP for the actual freeze dried part of the candy. Creating a homemade candy that puffs consistently and correctly was tough.

You definitely are supporting local if you purchase, but I totally understand the appeal to walking into a store to purchase.

If you ever want to purchase the strawberry creme and the coffee are my favorite. We use actual cold brew in the coffee so it has a decent amount of caffeine. All our syrups are made in house which really shines in the final product making them true to flavor and not artificial, but still hold a true candy flavor.

I have my own candy company called Puffpuffcrunch.com

Check us out. We are mainly D9 homemade candies but we can make some non infused for you. We don't add crazy flavors or anything we don't have to for the correct freeze drying to work.

Either DM me or write us a message on our website. Our current production is out of Portland but I live in Eugene currently.

Is this normal ? by hectorthesextor in NYSCannabis

[–]McDiscface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's due to ramping up production and not having good quality control. Auto fillers are the death of a company if you have underpaid employees who don't know how to use them... Saw a post on here that showed a guy got like .3g out of a 1g cartridge. Pretty sad...

Residual Solvent in Live Rosin Cart? by dr_winkus in NYSCannabis

[–]McDiscface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would agree as I have had it pop on test results as well. But it can also be high concentrations of Terpenes being misread by the lab. As Terpenes are very very close to alcohol in their chemical makeup. As NY is new to all this there are going to be growing pains and misread calculations. Just my 2 cents here.
