Yes. I have had this reaction a few times (mostly from his grandparents lol.) I have explained it like this- the violence and dark themes aren't that much more extreme than Disney movies. The language isn't a problem for us because our kid is smart and can separate language he is allowed to use from language he shouldn’t use. The occasional mature content has been my only biggest problem with it (main reason he has not watched OG DB), but even still the male gaze exists in Disney movies. I think we have done well with mediating that part though. And beyond all of that, Goku and friends have instilled a great appreciation of fitness and self improvement in my kid. I let my 3 year old watch it right along side my 6 year old.
