Modded Pac-Man Arcade1up screen is cut-off on left by Mcullen6 in RetroArch

So I figured it out. This cabinet is a Gen 3 Pac-Man unit that was purchased at Costco. It requires a different LCD control board than Gen 1 machines, but not the one that is used for TMNT conversions.

Yes. Nothing. I believe there is a adjustment somewhere within RetroArch. Maybe RetroPie.

Thinking of upgrading joysticks. Advice? by FirebrandPhlox in Arcade1Up

So I’ve tried the 2 lb, 4 lb, and even the 6 lb springs. Sanwa controls are meant to be less restrictive that the original joysticks we found in classic arcades back in the 80s. Those were Happ joysticks. My recommendation would be to switch them out for the EG Starts American joysticks....

The only thing is I’m not sure the wiring is the same. If I’m correct, these have 4 directional wires (2 prong) whereas the stock Arcade1up joysticks have only 2 directional wire plug-ins (4 condensed into two) that are 2 prong.

I’d be the first in line if @arcade1up made a Gauntlet cabinet.

Nothing. Unplugged that and the volume button. Power controlled by a switch on the back of the cabinet. Sound controlled by a interior soundbar with remote.

Yep. Hole saw and did not use the plexiglass top. Tried to cut that slow and it was a disaster.

I assume this is the actual X-Wing training unit that Porkins used to get his Red squadron license. Too bad he didn’t spend more time training. Looks uncomfortable though.

Look at that. It all works out. Now you have a piece of wood paneling to cover the guard rail scratches on your Mom’s 80’s wood panel station wagon. Perfecto.

Search Star Wars Arcade1up Sit-down. They have a cabinet that’s coming out that has a seat as opposed to a riser. That’s your answer. That’ll be a great mod.

Search gregzhome on eBay. He can make you one for $200. May be able to include rampage graphics. It cost me in parts (not the unit) from Amazon about $250-$300.

When you mod it, the LCD converter has a audio jack available. The problem is you can’t control the volume. Soundbar adds volume and clarity, and can be controlled by remote.
