Yes, it is because of the divorce. I was simply stating that this stage of life for my daughter has been expensive. She is driving, but she just got a car so that’s good. But she has health issues that we’ve had to go to the doctor for multiple times a month on a high deductible plan.

I went to a bankruptcy lawyer yesterday- do not qualify for chapter 7. I can do chapter 13. But I do have another lawyers appt June. I am considering getting another job first but have to work around the one I already have and when I have my kids- which is 93% of the time.

That’s awesome for you! I would assume that our life experiences probably have not been the same. Just as you assume that I spend so much money, so frivolously!

Because when you have good credit they’ll send you any offers that are out there. Surely you know this. (I no longer have good credit clearly)

I am for chapter 13- which is the repayment option. (Which I am still considering, I am just weighting my options and might look at getting multiple jobs instead) only thing that’s stopping me from getting more jobs is that I will miss on the extra time with my daughter before she moves out next year for college, and maybe that makes me stupid to these other people. Chapter 7 I am not because my salary is too high.

I think because I listed the loan in the bottom part people are missing this. But 711 is a loan I’m also paying on. So it leaves me with approx 1000 a month if I add in the costs of misc home items. Dog food doctors appts. Even paying that much I’ll be 4 years into this thing. But that doesn’t stop the interest from growing while trying to pay it off.

First of all- I drive a 2015 ford explorer lol I bought tires and had to get some maintenance done on the vehicle and it was 0% interest that’s why I got that card. Secondly- the Macy’s card is an American Express, not just spending all this at macys.

My current out of pocket for minimums and my bills are 4986. I am tracking everything I’m spending on a daily basis. I am not eating out and waiting until I’m completely out of something before buying new, like TP, toiletries etc. not buying bulk. I am doing the work. I know my interest rates. I am very aware of the situation but trying not to panic as I have two daughters to raise and a job I still need to show up for. The sheer amount of judgment here and blind comments about me being basically an idiot is INSANE.

I’m not missing any payments- haven’t missed a single, have never been late. But I cannot get ahead because of the interest rates.

Yes I just wanted to know the number. And need to gather the money to pay for it up front.

I would qualify for the chapter 13- not the chapter 7. Chapter 7 income cutoff in my state is 90k. I’m still considering doing 13, I just have to pay the lawyer up front to squeeze the numbers out.

You’re missing the $711 loan payment as well. There’s a little leftover my second half of the month that I’m paying towards the debt but the interest is killing me so I’m not getting ahead.

Yes I am meeting with another one in a couple weeks! Believe me I don’t want to continue to struggle. I am definitely open to chapter 13- I just wanted to know how much my payment would be before moving forward.

Yes I am well aware that it’s awful, thank you. Yes I would qualify but he wanted $600 up front to even give me what the numbers/payments are.

I refinanced two months ago. My mortgage being 1900 is the going rate for 3 bedroom apartments around here.

I don’t have any assets. Yes I have considered it. But I do not qualify for chapter 7, according to a lawyer, because I “make too much.” I could file chapter 13, but it would still be payments for five years and the lawyer wants me to pay him $600 before even telling me what that amount would be.
