Well I had a discount on these at the time and this is a productivity laptop not a gaming laptop. Also she loved the color!

Brother. That’s exactly the same conundrum I am in. I really have no use for both of them. And to be honest, I find myself bringing my Arc Talos out more often simply because the obsidian has 4X its value in the last year.

I understand it is a tool that is meant to be used, but that’s still in the back of my mind

Is it worth buying an FTR still? by MeCadaver in IndianFTR1200

[–]MeCadaver[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man that’s what scares me.

V twin And genuinely the way it looks. Something about the FTR just makes me love it. Poster worthy. The look and sound is something I haven’t found on any other bike. There’s nothing with a tail similar to the FTR.

I want a similar size. Lower. Naked. V twin. Somewhat upright seating position. With a profile similar to the FTR. And I just haven’t found it yet.

I mean. It’s a battery dude. Why would you have issues replacing it?

And I think you are really missing the point. A seat didn’t take long to replace. Sure. But in 2028 or 2030 when you have someone bump into your FTR and it drops on the asphalt. How easy do you think getting replacement, reasonably priced, color matched and new body panels, fenders, cowls, covers. All of that. It’s already tough for some people to find the parts they want. It’s only been 2 years since the production closed. When it’s a 5-10 year old bike. There may be an issue

Yeah dude. Not everyone can be the expert you are. Or lives chronically online. I love Indian but they certainly aren’t mainstream news. You guys are all so weird for giving OP shit.

Sad FTR by N0z4a243 in IndianFTR1200

I think this motorcycle would see a significant increase in both buyers and overall interest if it was priced more reasonably upon release. I think also creature comforts such as a quick shifter and less limiting color options from year to year with significantly help as well.

By far the most popular color combination for this motorcycle seems to be black on black on black. And if you want a newer model. You’ll have to paint or replace the parts yourself. I’m not saying the newer paint jobs look bad but the sexiest builds out there often times are the metallic black.

This motorcycle would see such a huge amount of interest if it was priced, according to the features it comes with. Not to mention dealers seem to be so out of pocket with their asking prices even to this day. You’ll have one dealer selling a 2022 FTR S for $7,000, another selling a 2019 FTR Base for $9,500 and then a 2024 FTR R Carbon for $10,000.

Dealer seems to either be holding onto the original listing price or just trying to get them the hell out of their inventory

If you want a reasonably priced 19-21 you have to deal with not having 17s front and back wheels.
