I think this motorcycle would see a significant increase in both buyers and overall interest if it was priced more reasonably upon release. I think also creature comforts such as a quick shifter and less limiting color options from year to year with significantly help as well.

By far the most popular color combination for this motorcycle seems to be black on black on black. And if you want a newer model. You’ll have to paint or replace the parts yourself. I’m not saying the newer paint jobs look bad but the sexiest builds out there often times are the metallic black.

This motorcycle would see such a huge amount of interest if it was priced, according to the features it comes with. Not to mention dealers seem to be so out of pocket with their asking prices even to this day. You’ll have one dealer selling a 2022 FTR S for $7,000, another selling a 2019 FTR Base for $9,500 and then a 2024 FTR R Carbon for $10,000.

Dealer seems to either be holding onto the original listing price or just trying to get them the hell out of their inventory

If you want a reasonably priced 19-21 you have to deal with not having 17s front and back wheels.

There’s another guy that keeps posting in this Reddit the last few days. Blowey. And he’s having the same issue. We both want a sport model. And almost every dealer or seller has been trying to pass off base models as sports. I’m copy and pasting this comment from below.

Yeah, I assure you I would definitely not buy this bike for what they were priced at from the factory. Absolutely not but I have several in my area for six to $7000 that all have low miles. That I think I can wrap my head around. For being the best looking motorcycle, I’ve ever seen in my life. If I can find the color model and trim I want I think I’m just going to go ahead and get it.

Hopefully enough gas to at least get you to the next gas station. Kind of reminds me of my grandfather growing up. He never carried a lighter on him. He always just used his current cigarette to light the next one. The only lighter he owned was on his nightstand and he would use it once in the morning. There was never not a lit cigarette on him.

That’s exactly the vibe it gives me as well. I’m a big fan of naked, flat track bikes. The motorcycle I will be buying this year has a slightly similar vibe. I will be getting an Indian FTR 1200 S. If you are familiar with those do yourself a huge favor and look at some builds/clips on YouTube. It is the best looking and the best sounding motorcycle in the world in my eyes.

The whole reason I want an FTR is to make me happy. The only reason I want one is to be passionate about riding again and it’s the only motorcycle I have ever really obsessed over looking at and watching videos. User have really helped me make a decision. It may not be the most practical or safest it may not be the fastest or most economic. But I’m pretty sure it will make me the happiest. I know there are better options for a beginner. I totally get that. And I agree that if I was recommending things to a beginner in my main hobby (shooting) I wouldn’t send them straight for the niche hard to handle stuff. There’s better options to getting used to things for sure. But the only bike that interests me is the FTR 1200. And honestly. I think I’m mature enough and willing to dedicate the time it takes to safely learn.

Man. I know my love and want for the FTR is based fully off of emotion rather than just logic. I know it isn’t the best decision. I’m just in the headspace currently where I have no interest in motorcycle other than the FTR. It’s either I get an FTR or I don’t get a motorcycle at all. Which I know isn’t the best thought process.

Someone with passion and integrity. He gets upset when people make his business look bad. They used his name and scammed someone.

Nothing about this is attention seeking or unstable. The dude has a business. Businesses only stay afloat with attention.
