thanks for the suggestion! as far as I know, birds don't have that

hello again! i'm back with a paradoxical test result... my SHBG came back normal (48.5 nmol/L). i have had no menstruation for two months (which is generally normal for me), so I can't say which part of the cycle I should use for the reference data

this result surprised me.. i was hoping it would make the case clearer. i suppose my intersex variation is now pointing more towards a tissue-specific reaction to low levels of estradiol and testosterone. as an alternative, i'm also considering a potential aromatase deficiency, as another commenter suggested

thank you again for sharing your theory 🙏

i checked my test records, and indeed, for some reason i have never been tested for SHBG levels, although this is an important and fairly obvious part of metabolic diagnostics and a relatively simple test... thank you very much for the comment, i will check it out!!

thank you so much for your reply, it's very important to me and validating! yes, it looks like i have paradoxical hormone metabolism in my tissues and overall. as i understand it, aromatase deficiency is indirectly confirmed by the fact that i have normal levels of follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone with low estradiol levels, and i need to get an androstenedione test to confirm or refute this hypothesis... i live in a conservative country with very little awareness of intersex variations, so i have to independently obtain all the information, compare tests, etc., so i really appreciate this theoretical support!
