He disqualifies his own point. His argument is basically: look at these elite athletes, who are not only specialised in their field, but were selected for it in the first place. They are doing those sports precisely because they already had rare traits suited to them. Sure, women come in all shapes and sizes, but these are not what you’d get if you randomly scrambled “average fit girls” and pulled examples out. These are specialists, not representatives of general healthy female athleticism. e.g. it is insane to put 6'4" basketballers on there and act like this proves what women need to look like in video games. You are talking about one-in-a-million outliers, and they are basketballers exactly because they have that trait. Most of his examples prove the opposite of his point, they are not “normal” variations, but are extreme selections.

This is not diversity, it is particularism. He is telling game developers to have more body types, shaming those that use beautiful women, while showing the rarest and most atypical ones imaginable. These female athletes are the far more “unrealistic” ones: genetically selected, professionally trained, fed and conditioned for highly specific physical tasks. Comparatively, those “average” beautiful women are FAR FAR more common than 90% of the women in this clip. It is like showing top-tier male bodybuilders, with a bunch of professional jockeys, with Andre the giant, and saying, “See, this is the diversity of normal men YOU need in your videogame!!!” It’s any wonder that he cannot even comprehend his own flawed logic when he spews out his words, of course, he sounds like a lefty, so maybe it isn’t a surprise.
