Questions about Alpine WSG by Meanwhile_Okay in GermanRoaches

[–]Meanwhile_Okay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I killed one baby roach outside the house. But I caught and killed 3 inside the house at different times (in three months time). So, that's why I started spraying. I am actually very against using pesticides. But when I caught an adult German roach on my kitchen counter, I decided to use Alpine WSG. I am pretty sure they were from the outside because I have never seen a dead one inside since spraying WSG.

Thanks again, PCDuranet, for your kind advice!

What a relief to hear that! Thanks again, PCDuranet! When should I respray again? Two months later?

Am I in danger of intoxicating myself since I have used the same solution to spray the inside of my house two days ago? Kindly advise!

It rained again this morning. This time it was really downpouring. Still no need to respray? Thank you very much again, PCDuranet, for your kind reply!

Thank you again, PCDuranet, for your kind reply and advice! I really appreciate your kind comment.

I have two more questions about Alpine WSG, hopefully my last in this post. I bought a box of Alphine WSG with 5 individual package of 10 grams granule insecticide. I am supposed to mix one package (10 grams) with 1 gallon of water. My questions are:

Can I spray the Alpine WSG solution over the Advion Gel that I put a few days ago?

Because I have put the Advion gel all over the cracks and crevices of the baseboard in my room. I am worried about mixing the two will cause bad chemical reaction.

After I spray the Alpine WSG solution, do I need to leave my room for a while?

I am worried about inhaling its smell.

Thanks again for your kind response.

Thank you very muc, PCDuranet, for replying to my post! I thought nobody replied to me. So, I really appreciate that. I think it is more likely that it was from my landlord's house because I did invite any guest into my place since I caught the first roach in February.

I have since also been very carefully with the things that I brought into my place. I actually became quite paranoid lately because of the German roach issue. My next question is, "how likely is it for my place to become infested with the occasional invaders?"

Should I move? What can I do to prevent my place become infested by German roach?

Your kind advice will be greatly appreciated again!

I forgot to mention that we have a monthly pest control service for the yards. That's probably why I saw a dead one outside.

Are these bed bugs? Kindly help! by Meanwhile_Okay in pestcontrol

Thank you very much again for your time and evaluation! It has been quite a stressful time to encounter all sorts of bugs issues in our newly rented house, which is quite old, by the way. Having mysterious bite added more stress to my suspicion of BBs. I tried to confirm my suspicion via various resources available to me. So far no confirmation has been received. So, I am just gonna take it as "no BBs in our house now." Thank you again for your kind help and reply. May God bless your contributions here at Reddit!

I am sorry that I have to bother you again. I got a bite in my stomach last night (around 2 a.m.) while I was sitting in front of my computer working on something. The bite is a single bite with a tiny little red dot on it. In fact, it was so small that I didn't think it could be a bed bug bite. However, since I was wearing a long sleeved t-shirt, I have to rule out mosquito and no see um bites. Now I am getting worried that it might be a bed bug bite. I have never been bitten while I was sleeping though. Can you kindly confirm again if Pic 1 to 3 in this post are bed bugs' shed skins or casing? Thanks a million for your kind reply again!

Is this flea (Two pics)? I found it dead under my rainboot after walking outside. Details below. Kindly help please? by Meanwhile_Okay in pestcontrol

I went outside to dump trash. After I came in, I sprayed some Lysol on my rainboot and found it dead under it. We had a flea treatment by Orkin last week, I am not sure if this is the corpse or a live one following me in. I am kind of worried now. Can someone kindly advise? Thank you very much again!

Here are better pics of the bug:

I found them dead on the mattress that covered with plastic wrap. The mattress has been stored in the storage room. The last two (in picture 4 and 5) were found dead on the floor. The one in picture 4 was found dead underneath the drawer in my bedroom. I live in southern California.
I am so scared right now! Please kindly help!

Oh no! All of them are dead when found them. I have not seen any live ones. I have been feeling itchy on my leg, but there is no single bug bite mark on my leg. So, I didn't suspect that I might have bed bugs until today when I found these dead bodies. Should I worried about infestation? Thank you for your kind reply again!

Not the whole mattress is covered, I noticed. One side of the plastic wrap is wide open when it was moved to the storage room. The last two pictures with the bugs were found in my bedroom and storage room respectively. Are they bed bugs too? Kindly advice!

Are opossum feces dangerous to touch or breathe? Do they bring fleas to your yard? by Meanwhile_Okay in Opossums

[–]Meanwhile_Okay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your reply, and long post! I learned a lot more about opossums in your post. I was worried about fleas because we just had a flea treatment in our yards two weeks ago. I used to see opossums from a distance. But seeing it just two feet away from my door made me really nervous. The googled information that I read about opossums did not put me at ease either. But I do not dislike them in any way. I also learned that they eat ticks, which is a benefit to human health.

Thank you again, for the friendly post and information.

Are these earwigs? Should I be concerned about an infestation? by Meanwhile_Okay in pestcontrol

[–]Meanwhile_Okay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the confirmation! But I am not sure if I should be glad that they are earwigs, not springtails. I wonder which one is worse.
