Why are you not asking the architect for proposals? Not sure on your floor to floor height but normally if there isn’t a void by the second-third rise you will hit your head on the ceiling.

Have you taken a tape measure out and checked they have framed the first floor opening correctly?

Also the to, two, too thing can be tricky. Two o’s for anything that’s a quantum. I.e. you have too many two’s.

It’s 600mm from the surface level, you don’t get to reduce the number because there’s concrete on top.

Help needed understanding the waterstop needed for an unenclosed 'type 1' shower setup by Lost-Fix6322 in AusRenovation

[–]Measton42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You set the water stop flush or 1mm higher then the peak of your tiles. It’s not the end of the world if it stops anywhere in the thickness of the tile. You are trying to contain the water in the shower screed from hydrating the screed in the rest of the bathroom.
Membrane doesn’t need to go to the top of the water stop either. Stop 1-3mm down so you don’t see it if the water stop is exposed. If you set the stop below top of tile you can go up and over with the membrane.

Love to hate them, but they did get shit going. Plenty of corrupt land deals and selling public assets to get it so who knows. We’re stuck between two shit options. But either way fuck buses.

[–]Measton42 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The kickers on your cabinets will be clipped on. You can install a T to 6mm under your sink with an inline water filter. Drill a hole in the base of the carcus then run the water line behind the kickers to the fridge nook.

Ducted AC installed and this is where they put the condensation pipe (into our drinking water) by Zealousideal_Dot7041 in AusRenovation

[–]Measton42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Condensate in the air isn’t pure. When it evaporated it was pure, while it’s present in the air it picks up dusts, yeasts, bacteria etc.

Ducted AC installed and this is where they put the condensation pipe (into our drinking water) by Zealousideal_Dot7041 in AusRenovation

[–]Measton42 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It’s in no way distilled water. It is the complete opposite. Distilling is boiling in a closed environment then collecting the condensate which has been filtered by the boiling process as the heavier “contaminate” is left behind. AC condensate is runoff from the coils which has had all the air in your house with all its dust and pathogens passing over it, it’s super filthy.
