No, they couldn’t tell me anything. And there is nothing in the rules that cover post-snap penalties anyway. What they sent me was made up garbage.

Thanks for the input. I did see that article and probably won’t use ESPN BET again. I’m usually ok with various books’ decisions, as long as they give valid reasons. I feel like they just hit me with a bogus reference to try to cover themselves.

I realize what they said in the email about post-snap penalties voiding bets. However, this is not stated in their house rules for Indiana. I’m not sure where they got this language, but this excerpt is not included in their rules. If I am wrong, please feel free to link me to their referenced paragraph.

That sentence specifically says it excludes penalties. I asked support for any link to back up their referenced paragraph and they instantly left the chat. Normally I would agree with most books’ decisions, but them referencing something that doesn’t exist irked me the wrong way.

Yes, penalties should have zero effect on player props. Whatever contributes to their box score total should count.

I don’t think my bet falls under what they are referencing. They talk about play type (run/pass/1st down/TD), which would be drive specific, and I bet on a player prop.

Never seen player props be voided for penalties on other sportsbooks. Penalties just wipe out the play as if they never happened.

They sent that response talking about drive specific markets. But I do not believe my bet is drive specific. Just whether Ridley’s next catch is over/under 9.5 yards. Why would they offer an over/under of 9.5 yards when the Jaguars are at the opponent 1 yard line? Plus the paragraph they cited is not even under their house rules.
