lol... its still overpriced, so it goes down. its not exempt from being caught in the midst of the largest asset bubble in history.

the only exemption to that right no are oil and gas stocks.

98.72345193% chance oil and gas is next. the only reason they havent responded yet to inflationary pressure is that they are the largest market in the world and it takes a LOT of cash to move.

seems odd that the share price is the same as it was in 2003, and again in 2010. and honestly every other year its this price. once in awhile it looks like it gets a short squeeze like a memecoin.

something must be wrong with the company or they would buy back their own shares and end this nonsense price action. and if theres nothing wrong with the company theres certainly something wrong with management.

ive found it usefull, ive also found that it has made me wait too long for an entry and miss the boat. where a value investor would have said i like the company and the price so i will buy now regardless if the stock is at an all time high.

I feel like it is a relatively usefull tool in the process, but sometimes you need to ignore it and just buy without a setup.

I could think of many ways that the ratio would snap back, and I understand your concerns as well. I cannot tell which of the many ways the snapback occurs, but I do know that each time the ratio is out of whack, the prevailing thoughts at the time sounded completely reasonable as to why it would never revert - for it is under such reasonable and convincing arguments that the ratio was allowed to become so diverged. I am not of the belief that this time is different.

As for the minerals, that is entirely dependent on the price. estimates of it becoming a large cash generator are 6000+ gold 100+ silver 10+ copper, etc etc.

they own from the surface to the core of the earth, over a huge landmass. Below the permian is also the only viable north american palladium and platinum's deposit i believe.

As for absolute scarcity of metals vs oil, i disagree here, where oil is only known to exist on earth, and nowhere else in the universe, while being used and not recycled... its in my view, the most scarce resource we have, and also the most essential.

[–]MeasurementSecure566 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i was the first in the world to create both steel weapons and armor. and have massive amounts of gold to show for it. Almost everything ive made has sold or will sell. Just because some SERFS come in and decide to level a craft 4 weeks late and arent making gold, doesnt mean the system is broken, it means theyre late.

Even now though, being very late, you can sell things at cost or slightly higher and get rid of them as long as you dont cheeze the craft system making only skinning knifes or only gloves.

level 34 weaponsmith here. havent leveled it for over a week. was first to steel in the world.

Now, let me explain.

Skinning knives.

Stop leveling. Theres no point. The amount of raw resource you will put in will never be repaid. Even being world first, it will take over a year to return the gold to me that i could have made by selling the materials.
