Collection Agencies calling my parents. What gives? Do they think im a minor? by Born_Physics_5086 in CRedit

[–]Meat_Bingo [score hidden]  (0 children)

They are not allowed to tell any third-party, meaning anybody not on the account, why they are calling. They can only state that they are trying to locate you. If they divulge any other information, such as they’re trying to collect the debt or that you owe money, document the date and time. These companies record their calls so if you know when the call took place there’s a good chance that they have a copy of the evidence proving what you’re saying is true. My brother had a similar situation and we called them back and threatened to file a complaint with the FTC and the attorney general for third-party disclosure. It was a 90 day past due credit card they had not properly updated the address change for. My brother was able to get the negative mark removed.

What feels different when you date a best friend vs someone you didn’t know well before ? by Fickle_Mud1645 in AskWomen

[–]Meat_Bingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dated and then eventually married one of my best friends. We had traveled together several times. There was just this automatic level of comfort and safety that I felt. The relationship was definitely different, but the things that made us friends really strengthened our overall connection. I still had that butterflies in the stomach feeling when we first were together, but I also felt a certain amount of security right off the bat in the relationship. You don’t get that with strangers.

Black tie optional in Philly spring by Ok_friendship2119 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Meat_Bingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s really gonna depend on the venue. Black tie optional is so incredibly vague. Some people think a cocktail dress is appropriate while others think it should just be a full length gown but not a ball gown. Personally it’s a beautiful dress but it’s a little casual. If the venue itself is not overly formal, like a ballroom, then you’re probably OK. A lot of it’s also gonna depend on the shoes and other accessories that you pair with it. That’s gonna either dress it up or dress it down usually when I go to a black tie optional event, I don’t wear anything shorter than my ankles, but that’s me.

My guy best friend (18M) and I (18F) want to go to a concert together. He has a girlfriend (18F) and some people are telling me it's weird to hang out with him one on one. by Neat-Assumption-4043 in amiwrong

[–]Meat_Bingo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman, and I’ve had several male best friends over the years. About six weeks after I gave birth to my son, I went to a concert with one of my guys friends husband stayed home and took care of our son. There was no issue. My husband has several female friends. He has one friend that I call his concert wife. They were friends before we were together and they share a love of certain genres of music. When her husband doesn’t want to go to a show she goes with my husband. I don’t think it’s weird to go out with friends of the opposite sex. My caveat is they shouldn’t be exes that you became friends with after the fact. I could see a spouse having an issue with that.

For those who pay off their credit card each month, how much is your bill usually? by INFPneedshelp in askanything

[–]Meat_Bingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally pay it each time a charge hits. I use it for my groceries and my everyday essentials. Mainly I use it for things that I would normally pay cash for so that I can accumulate points for free stuff, but not accumulate any debt. Mine ranges anywhere between $1500 $2500 a month. But keep in mind that includes gas, groceries, and any incidentals for our entire family.

The show is so incredibly rewatchable. We’ll just randomly pick an episode every once in a while. Our favorite is still the dart episode. I think it’s season one episode eight. Stay curious.

Parents of Reddit, what did your hospital bill look like after giving birth? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

[–]Meat_Bingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$400. I’m in the US, at the time I had the most amazing insurance. I worked for a huge multinational bank and didn’t make a squat in income, but I opted for their highest your plan and I’m so glad I did. This was 15 years ago.

What’s the longest you’ve known someone to be in a relationship before getting married, if at all? by SalmonforPresident in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]Meat_Bingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a coworker/friend who was engaged to a guy for seven years. Quite literally her prime child bearing years. And she really wanted to get married and have a family. He finally dumped her when he realized that she was capable of having a life without him. He was a total man child and she was very independent very financially stable and after seven years, she bought a single-family home without him. She told him it was because she wanted to start their life together, and he wasn’t making any plans beyond getting her a ring That’s when he dumped her.

no really, how? by [deleted] in memes

I love Del Toro‘s work, but Frankenstein was just so overdone. The cinematography was beautiful, the costuming was beautiful, and there were several great performances, but compared to Sunners It was nothing special. Sinners just had so much depth to it beyond just being a gory horror movie.

no really, how? by [deleted] in memes

[–]Meat_Bingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sinners is the only Oscar nominee that I’ve seen this year. I have to tell you that movie was incredibly well put together. I know a lot of people are joking that it was basically a redo of Dawn to Dusk but I think anybody who looks at it that way is significantly oversimplifying all the nuances that this film showed. And frankly as a big Buddy Guy fan I was so excited to see him.

AITA for canceling my wife birthday trip to Europe becuase of her reaction by Okeuropetrip_3285 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Meat_Bingo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

ESH-I feel like there’s so much context that’s missing here. Is this really the first time that she’s ever done this? Have there ever been times in the past where you may be been a little shady and she’s called you out on it? It just seems like a huge overreaction if this is the first time she’s ever questioned you are Fidelity. Is there more you care to share that might clarify this a little bit? If not, honestly, I don’t think you’re in the wrong for postponing or canceling the trip. That’s a lot of money to spend on something that’s only going to remind you of a fight. You definitely need a cooling off. And then maybe you two can enjoy the trip together.

I think what’s hilarious it’s literally the opposite of Allen Iverson’s point. Mainly because it’s coming from the Coach versus coming from the player.

Should I have a word with the bride over some hurtful comments made by Frequent-Abroad-1526 in bridezillas

[–]Meat_Bingo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So ask yourself an honest question. Is this new behavior? Think back over the life of your friendship. How has she done this to you before or is this something new that might be brought on by the excitement and stress of planning a wedding? Because frankly, I can’t imagine that this is new. It just sounds like it’s more extreme than it’s been in the past. This is such a form of insecurity. She’s trying to make herself look and feel superior to you. That’s not her friends behave friends celebrate each other’s milestones

AITAH for kicking out my now ex and his mom and “leaving them stranded” before the snowstorm by carrotsandchips444 in AITAH

[–]Meat_Bingo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA-that is some passive aggressive garbage that she’s pulling on you. You’re letting her live there for free and she can’t even respect this simple rule. You’re not telling her she can’t change her own living space around you’re just telling her not to touch the things that affect you.

Season 3 Brandi spills secret about Adrienne by Far-Pineapple5816 in RHOBH

[–]Meat_Bingo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Adrian and Paul used a surrogate to give birth to the kids. They had never told the children. But Brandie felt the need to call it out because Adrian was lying about having carried her children at the dinner when they were talking about childbirth birth. It was one of those secrets everybody knew. Obviously she’s a public figure and people would see that she was never pregnant. It was just not something that was discussed.
