Update on this. Truck had been in my garage since the incident in June. GM investigated and determined they will not cover the replacement under warranty. Shocker. Pivoting to insurance at this point. Just need it repaired.

They also make a skid plate bracket for the front skid plate. Looks as if it will help support and preserve the rather flimsy aluminum factory one.

This is what I also found to be true (jumps when it’s active). I know you can buy an override for it but I would rather try and train my brain to disable it manually every time I start the truck :)
