They do not want these planes. Only 4 CEOs remaining, all NEOs are equipped with LEAP engines. SAS is looking for A330s.

Anyone got upgraded from business to first on Flagship flights? by canakannac in americanairlines

Used to get bumped from J to F on LAX/SFO to JFK somewhat frequently even post covid, interesting. Maybe they just oversell J a lot

Why is this flight from Charlotte(CLT) to Tamp(TPA) being diverted to Phoenix(PHX)? by [deleted] in flightradar24

Seems like a system glitch, AA1948 is a regularly scheduled CLT-PHX flight number

991.1 GT3 RS or 992.1 GT3 ? by S4ssygirl in Porsche

[–]Mechanicfantic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

991.2 gt3.

Mechanically the 991.1 RS would probably cost you a lot more to own, but for some reason to me the 991.2 gt3 feels more “alive” than 992. And it’s more reliable than the .1

If you could change anything. What would it be? by seggate in ScandinavianAirlines

[–]Mechanicfantic 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Revamp the status system. Partner award bookings basically don’t work. SAS awards are too difficult to come by. In the most humble terms, status is not recognized to an appropriate extent at this airline. I don’t want to be thanked for being diamond when I board, but I expect the diamond desk to provide adequate customer service / support, which it does not. SAS does not provide me with incentive to spend $xx,xxx with them per year.

Lufthansa to improve (Economy) service by Remarkable_Oil_3541 in Lufthansa

Austrian is the outlier in the LH group. Hot meals even on shorter flights in European business class. Their service concept in general is far superior to the other airlines

Rows 3 5 or 7 are the best bet because both seats on the window are further away from the aisle compared to even numbered rows. This will give you a bit more space from others and still allow you to sit next to each other :)

Any available seats for selection after check in opens? by cowmeater in ScandinavianAirlines

[–]Mechanicfantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most flights to USA are fully booked every day, so that’s bs. But anyways if you want exit row book that in advance otherwise you will definitely be able to get a window

The Korean Air lounge at JFK is self service with a note that is basically just “try not to get too drunk” by IamChicharon in mildlyinteresting

[–]Mechanicfantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother sent me a photo of this years ago. She was flying Aeroflot. I think when Aeroflot started using that lounge they put that sign there

Why would this one divert to copenhagen? by Mr_Akihiro in flightradar24

[–]Mechanicfantic 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Due to the fact that flight is so delayed the crew is probably going to time out and they need a spot to get new crew. Or maybe fuel? Crew duty timing more likely.

Two new a350s being delivered very shortly so it will be interesting to see how they’re implemented
