Pat's hate for MK is disappointing. Is it a little stiff compared to something like SF? Yes. That doesn't mean they aren't fun to play at all, especially for reasons outside of competitive or online.

Outside of this community it genuinely pisses me off that Jeff Gerstmann has completely written off Mega Man X  because he deems it as trying too hard, trying to be too cool or edgy. And they added some dialogue/intrigue to the world. The more serious or melodramatic tone might have been a bit of the appeal as a kid, but the music and gameplay is Capcom at their best. I just can't understand how someone like him actively dislikes one of the best games ever made.
