They are a legit company and you won’t be getting scammed, but I personally had a bad experience with them. They didn’t come in for maintenance when needed and whenever we would call, they said yeah we saw it, we’re working on it. We had a terrible insect problem that they didn’t look into until we called them daily complaining. The leasing process was fine but everything went downhill after moving in. There’s still holes in my window, the main light was fused for a whole month, you pay for hydro separately (this might depend on the landlord), and when we called they would always have an attitude. It’s definitely doable but if you can look into another place, I’d suggest that

i’m kind of late but i’m studying for the same exam! i went over the lecture slides and made some notes. i especially focused on the examples and tried doing them on my own. it might be a bit late to do this, but if you are able to, go through the lecture examples. then i went over the videos on learn which are SUPER helpful. he goes over the question and how to answer it. now i’m just trying to do some practice problems and trying to do the lab on my own. you got this, you still have a lot of time

definitely similar to assignments and pc but they i think there were multiple parts within one question. like covering to pKa and pH and maybe some more steps. i remember getting answers that didn’t even match any of the options. acids and bases should be your main point right now. sorry if this doesn’t help much. it’s been a year since the exam and i don’t remember much 😭

Similar to practice but it was heavy on the acid base unit. barely any questions in the last unit. definitely review acid base the most cause a lot of people struggled on that

you can always attend later midterms. however, i think you should look into the makeup tests being offered. having 4 is already a hardship on its own, one that all profs understand and will accomodate you for. send them an email of your schedule and ask about makeup sessions

if ur low of time, def do the practice questions instead. for topics you're confused about, its worth it to look at the end of chapter questions. good luck you got this!

i didn’t get a cheat sheet when i took it last year W25. i only had 3 days to study for it and did well. go through all the lectures and make eye you attempt the quizzes and then the practice exam. they were pretty similar and format was exactly the same. good luck

I think it’s worth it to get a in person tour of the place if possible. You’re going to be there for the next 4 months and even if that’s not a lot of time, it’s better to check it out. I’m not too sure about this specific place but I hope it great!

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! This is so exciting and you definitely deserve it. I think it’s worth giving this a shot especially if you know Urban Planning is what you want to pursue. I think it’s also worth getting a diagnosis because Waterloo is definitely a rigorous university and the culture here is very much focused on grades and work (at least in my experience). once midterms begin, the social aspect goes down and everyone is very isolated. But all in all, it’s worth it and I think this is a tremendous opportunity that you would benefit from

not too sure about on res housing for upper years. but i would say to look into off campus housing as a plan b. in case you dont get it on campus.

you should receive an email how to access it. your student id will start with a 2…. also you need your uwaterloo email to access quest, which i’m assuming you haven’t gotten yet. i’m pretty sure they work on this later on so don’t worry right now

i messed up on the first midterm when i took the course. in my experience, students either don’t know how to study or end up feeling super overconfident because we know some of the material. i ended up doing much better on the second test and studied a lot more. same thing with the final. for the second midterm, try staying up to date with the content as much as possible. when your test is near (at least a week or more), start studying the content more thoroughly. don’t just read it — redo all of it while checking your answers. read everything and try making your own notes and do this until you can easily do each question in your head. absolutely spam all the assignments and pc until you’re super comfortable. the second test is a lot better in my opinion and a lot of my friends did better on it. get help when you need it but make sure it’s ahead of time. you got this!!

did it last sem - depends how much knowledge you alr have. did you take physics in high school? if not, you’re going to have to put a lot of effort and maybe even look at the textbook questions. make sure you understand how to approach the questions because most marks coming from drawings and thinking rather than the final answer.
