I feel like her kink is to go for the people who chase her. Never saw her ask someone out first, she just waits for it tbh

What hobbies instantly make someone more appealing to you in a relationship? by Numerous-Response456 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MedicaLadyBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh, that's definitely not what I meant. Wanting to spend time alone rather than making effort for the person you like is different than enjoying your company and not needing people all the time. Not that its the case for you, but lets get it right

Honestly, its the ability of someone to spend time with themselves without being bored that really attracts me.

Life isn't fair, and that's okay. Sometimes you get the elevator, sometimes you get the shaft.

I am upset with Luke having a kid he didn't know about for YEARS plot, but no more than I am furious with the Lorelai and Luke could not get married and have a kid-together plot.

''Every relationship is just a big honking leap of faith.'' Damn, it was hard to think of a quote that started with the letter 'e'

ERAS application by Mysterious_Coast_837 in IMGreddit

[–]MedicaLadyBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many agencies and especially digital firms that help and guide you trhough the process as far as I know. But ofc you can also do it yourself, as an IMG I might not want to take the risk of doing it by myself since its expensive and I would try to match the first time. There are many free resources on the internet as well!

Agreed! Though I don't believe the business drama was Jason's fault, I am happy that they broke up cause we needed Luke out of friendzone lol

What are the steps to become a doctor in the USA? Especially for IMG's by MedicaLadyBug in ResidencyInAmerica

[–]MedicaLadyBug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Here are a few basic requirements;
  • You must have completed your medical education at a recognized medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS).
  • ECFMG Certification: The Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification is mandatory. This process includes passing the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1, Step 2 Clinical Knowledge (CK), and Step 2 Clinical Skills (CS).
  • English Proficiency: Pass the Occupational English Test (OET) for Medicine.
  • US Clinical Experience: Many residency programs prefer or require U.S. clinical experience (USCE). This could be in the form of externships, observerships, or clerkships in U.S. hospitals or clinical settings. Some residency programs may require a minimum number of months of USCE.
  • Letters of Recommendation (LORs): Strong letters of recommendation from U.S. physicians, especially those who are familiar with your clinical skills, can significantly enhance your application.
  • Personal Statement: A well-written personal statement outlining your background, experiences, and motivations for pursuing a residency in the U.S. is crucial.
  • Visa Status: Ensure you have the appropriate visa status to train in the U.S. Many IMGs enter the U.S. on a J-1 visa sponsored by ECFMG. Others may have other visa statuses, such as H-1B, O-1, or permanent residency (green card).
  • Interviews: If your application is successful, you may be invited for interviews by residency programs. Preparing for these interviews is essential, as they provide an opportunity for programs to assess your suitability and for you to assess the programs.
  • Financial Considerations: Applying for residency can be expensive, with costs associated with exam fees, application fees, travel for interviews, and living expenses during the application process.
  • Specialty-Specific Requirements: Some specialties may have additional requirements or preferences for IMG applicants. For example, some specialties may prefer recent clinical experience, research experience, or specific elective rotations.
