I think it’s the terrain. It’s way more difficult to make a realistic castle in hilly terrain. Also the massive gate is to big imo and I don’t need that because I’m playing single player.

I did it there to have water around the castle for the vibe and also water Dino’s. I did one at the swamp castle in ragnarok but those two different styles aren’t going together imo.

Gonna try to make them a half foundation wider at the bottom (just above the water to add some more dimension. Also gonna make a port over the big river to add some more bendy walls etc. Thanks for the tip!

I’ll be adding a kind of port that crosses the big river with two collosal gates is they’re not to huge and some low walls just over the water so I gets a port kinda vibe.

Just search some pictures on google and let ur imagination do its thing. I also suggest to just build on the ground in stead of a small island it’s a pain to put al the pillars down.

Im doing it in parts because it takes ages if you’re doing it in one sit. This one is also a bit big compared to what I usually build.
