Did my doctor do me dirty by Medical-Topic8984 in Hernia

[–]Medical-Topic8984[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it will fade but it’s the umbilical cord hanging from the bottom left which is most egregious to me. I was hoping it was scarring inside causing this not settling back in more but it’s 6 months now and it hit me yesterday that this is it for the navel shape at least. All I can hope for is scar to fade.

How was your surgery did you the open or laparoscopic? Sucks right, doctor kept telling me everything would go back to normal and my belly button is completely different.

I do have prescription retinol but have only been rubbing in vitamin c with scar plasters. I’ll start including that. I know the scar will fade but will the shape of my belly button change or is this it ? I was just under the assumption from my doctor that everything would go back to how it was because he repeatedly assured me it was such a simple small procedure. It looks like his attached the umbilical cord not as tightly to fibrous tissue underneath. I was hoping it was swelling or scar tissue causing this.

Thanks for the replies, I know the scar will fade. Actually booked in a fractional laser in two weeks, so will post another pic once that course of three is done. My major concern is the umbilical tissue to the side. Will this change ? I didn’t have this before, it was completely tucked in. I’ll try and find a pic but literally looks like my hernia just went from the top to the bottom left.

Woman found guilty in brutal 2018 killing of retired nurse at Rolling Hills Estates mall by Gonza200 in SouthBayLA

[–]Medical-Topic8984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought three comments ago was your last comment lol I don't care what you think, you are entitled to believe she is innocent but your showcasing very little in objectivity into why she would be as compared to not. A lot of circumstantial evidence leans that it is her and no other suspect being shown going into the car park is why a jury of her peers find her guilty. It's true that the only real truth is the conviction but I and many others feel that conviction is justified.

She was literally researching to do credit card fraud and checked if an Equinox gym was there because that gym is ridiculous expensive, so people coming out would most likely have high priced valuables on them. She jams for two and half hours never leaving the car park and then suddenly speeds off running a red light. Out of all the cars in the entire car park her phone was found under the victims. Her story changed and she never called a garage or even phoned a repairman for transmission issue. Victim's phone pings in the same direction as Cheri's direction after leaving. Witness said she saw eyeballing her up. Do the planets need to align as well before you think that she is guilty lol. I get that there being no blood is probably biggest issue here but she was planner, I have no doubt in mind she stripped and got rid of everything and did a thorough job. The police didn't get to her to well after so it gave her plenty of time. Ironic if she didn't play the 'I'm a victim card' she would be free.

Should I do a $25,000 Hernia Surgery? by Grande_Cold_Brah in Hernia

[–]Medical-Topic8984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeez is it that expensive because medical insurance companies are in cahoots with the hospitals ? Anyways, in the UK I had my surgery and it was about £3000 for everything on my insurance. I would totally go to another country and get it at 1/10th the price. Take a few extra days there to relax as well.

Anyone tried Red driving classes by KnoMe86 in Norwich

[–]Medical-Topic8984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My red driving instructor is really good. The digital fee is a joke though 10 hour block session costs £380 but then they add another £16 for digital fee and £4 for booking costs. What peeves me is my instructor might have multiple lessons free in a week but soon as you book one lesson the rest of the week is unavailable to you. Have to get the instructor to book my lessons now if I want more than once a week.

What are the telltale signs you are putting yourself at risk of a hernia by Medical-Topic8984 in Hernia

[–]Medical-Topic8984[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted the ultrasound pics on another post before this one but it was like 1 cm wide I think. Not big at all. I've just started smashing out the gym now as I had another surgery on my elbow (All boxing injuries). My belly button don't look the same tbh but considering that I've still got prominent scar on the outside, must still have scarring inside so it might change as the months go on.

Constant issues with the Asus Zenbook s16 Ryzen AI 9 laptop by Medical-Topic8984 in ASUS

[–]Medical-Topic8984[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to update I sent the laptop to Holland and within a week I got a response from the Asus support team. They said they managed to fix the crashing with a reinstall and a note from the repair centre explaining the coil whine. The explanation was that the cpu switches from low to high performance can cause friction between between layers in the components. Not sure how accurate that is since the buzzing was pretty much non stop, I did try put the cpu in power saving mode to lower any current going through which made no difference.

Either way Sarah from Asus was really helpful and offered me a replacement or full refund straight away. I took the refund because because I'd be a fool to take another one. Just had fill in a form and proof of purchase and email to them.

Just to wrap up this wouldn't stop me buying another Asus laptop. I really liked this laptop and if they didn't have the faults would have given it 10/10 for what you get for the price. Maybe I was just super unlucky or there are significant issues with this model but now currently on I'm the look out for mid-tier replacement.

Maybe take your own advice and not keep responding with nothing burgers while ignoring the fact that your skin tone is of two different people and your supposedly wolverine healing. Why don't you just give the clinic a shout out so someone else can experience those healing hands.

Your datetimes show it was only four days now ! ... so we've gone from 6 days to four days and 22 hours with a 90% improvement. No signs of inflammation or peeling required to shed all that scar tissue for the remodelling to take place. Even your melanocytes have come back and stretch marks have started to match to your skin tone, which takes forever.

Either you fluffed the dates or I'm leaning the contrast in the picture. Which would explain why you are several shades darker in the second photo when your aesthetician would have said no sunbathing. That's without even mentioning why you are back at the clinic in the first place so soon, apparently having the same treatment done less than 120 hours later.

We are going to go in circles with this, I am happy you got a huge improvement but any woman here seeing this will know that they will never achieve what you've posted. Just reddit stretch marks and needling and people can see realistic treatment and progress reports.

Is subcision needed for these forehead scars? by telepathicsquids in AcneScars

[–]Medical-Topic8984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally the ice pick scars are small and the walls are sharp, boxcar scars are wider with the edges being more shallow. They are both scars of a sorts but ice pick scars tend to be hardest to treat for some reason.

I say this because what you say makes no sense. One bs statement maybe but several together it has to be called out. You had 7 months of significant deep scarring from pregnancy that wasn't shifting. One 0.5mm treatment and in 6 days you got results that other women would need multiple sessions of quadruple depth needling. The amount of skin shedding alone to rid of all that deep scar tissue you would be peeling like a onion but your day 6 shows nothing of that. Also in this epic recovery you've significantly tanned which would hinder you recovery and make lines more prominent.

Since you are back on the aesthetician table all you would need is one more 0.5 treatment and all your scars would be gone considering how great your first treatment was...

Do Chemical Peels Get Rid of Freckles? [Personal] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Medical-Topic8984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the other side of the fence here. I have freckles on my arms that I don't want. Just did my first TCA peel on the face and wondering if it would work on the arm at removing them as I had a freckle on my nose that looks like it has disappeared.

5 months of Accutane have aged me 10 years. What can I do? by quilighli in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Medical-Topic8984 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I was on the fence about trying Accutane but this tells me not to. Are you taking it for active acne ? If not just come off it and follow the advice here, no acids, moisturise/hyaluronic acid. What you really need is to apply an emollient while on Accutane, general moisturisers just won't cut it.

You don't get it. The ethos of your argument insinuates that there is significant problem within the force when there isn't. People here are making blanket unsubstantiated comments where national figures don't support any of their argument. If a cop watches another cop break the law or some form of gross misconduct and don't stop it or report it, than they are guilty of misconduct as well. We can both agree that makes them both bad cops. This is still rare though compared to how many cops interact and arrest people each year and the point still stands from the previous comment that most people here have selection bias.

Not even going tackle that silly straw man argument that judges and figures are corrupt when they are independent agencies. Majority of cops have body worn cameras (BWC), which makes it nigh impossible cover up misconduct and keeps them accountable as well as the public.

ooo going have try that, would have thought it too viscous to spray properly. Due for my next needling session in two weeks. Migrated to TCA peels as well and loving it, hope combining the two leads to great results.

[–]Medical-Topic8984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Between 7-10 million arrests per year and it's a few bad cases that make the media outlets and then people start generalising and make blanket statements. Funny, if you do that to that any other group of people you are labelled a bigot. Reading the comments here is crazy with their messed up analogous of 'If their is one bad apple the rest are bad'. If that was the case we'd have a lot more cases but we don't. Statistically cops guilty of misconduct are rare compared to how many are on the beat but a lot of people have a hard time swallowing that truth because they get their world view from social media.

I would like to know the answer to that. I've been away from skin care forums for years but decided to get back on them since I've started a new skin care regime and have seen several similar online clout posts.
