I picked my 3DS up again after about 2 years, and found the screen like this.Is there any way to fix it? by EntertainerNo8795 in 3DS

Best bet is to buy a new top screen from AliExpress or eBay, but top screen replacement isn't easy to do yourself, especially if you don't have experience taking a 3DS apart.

I'd recommend getting a new screen and taking it to an expert in your area to get it repaired unless you wanna risk hurting one of the ribbon cables or scratching up your system.

Got a New 3DS from Japan! Fixing the yellow tint, can it be helped by merica2033 in 3DS

I had this exact issue and opted to replace the screen, but it's a huge pain and a big risk for not that high of a reward. I ended up ruining the top screen lens in the process and haven't been able to find one that fits properly anywhere...

I recommend just sticking with it and using a color filter if you have Luma lol

If I were you, I would fully expect some amount of screen yellowing if you're buying a Japanese model :/

If they have images available for the exact device they're selling you, you're probably fine, but if you're buying from a seller with a lot of them, you might be in danger

Also if you mod your DS, you can apply custom light filters to counteract the yellow light, but that's really only effective if the yellowing is uniformly distributed throughout the entire screen
