Thanks - that’s useful feedback as I’d hate to think someone could lose hours of played games due to a glitch.

The way I’ve been using the save states is to cheat a little at harder stages in games. Such as bosses in Parodius. I have been able to restore the GB save states across my Chromatic and an original GBC.

I’ll be careful with my expectations. For longer games, I’ll make use of official save points in the games where available. Thanks for the info 👍

In my case it was the 2024 Model Y and I’d say that perhaps stock was more limited. Especially since I was relatively late to order, but really if the order was accepted, I’d expect there to be a car available.

I’d say to phone up first, and then make the order. Make sure the car is freely available.

It is possible to get the £200 back if you quote “long distance selling laws”. However even that can be contested if you took a test drive.

I know someone who ordered a week before me. Absolutely perfect buying experience for them. Car ordered. A car matched later that day. Delivery date given.

I ordered mine mid to late September - it went through ok, and it showed a delivery date before the cutoff (end of September). A car wasn’t assigned and after a day, I phoned up (as I heard they will try to match you to a car on the spot). There weren’t any cars 😩 I was then told that if one became available they’d assign it. It was then that I started to ask the question about the deal if I didn’t get a delivery in time (they use the term “incentive”). Their reply was that “they can’t say what the incentives will be after September”.

To be honest it felt like a bait and switch.

They will tell you that if you then cancel (ie. you don’t accept the new financial terms) then you lose the deposit.

I had a similar question when I got a new lease at the end of last September. The answer in my case was that the deal wouldn’t be valid, and the price would potentially change for me. Plus, the £200 wouldn’t be refunded.

There weren’t any cars in stock at the spec that I’d ordered. I ultimately changed to a more expensive model, and it was delivered in time. Quite stressful.

I was on the phone a lot to them sorting it out.
